Nightingales Cottage, 15th century barn conversion

This is a delightful 15th century barn conversion situated in the heart of the pretty medieval village of Kentisbeare in Mid-Devon. There is a typical Devon pub and local shop/post office in the village. The nearest beaches and Jurassic coast are just a 25 minute drive away. We are happy to accept one small dog for which we charge £25 per week.. During July and August we only accept 7 night bookings. Changeover days are Fridays. The space Nightingales cottage is a well presented and equipped 15th century barn conversion situated in the heart of the pretty village of Kentisbeare in Devon. It is an ideal holiday home for couples and families, with baby and toddler equipment available upon request. The cottage has a cosy and comfortable open plan living/kitchen/dining area with slate flooring throughout and under floor heating to the entire ground floor. There is also an electric wood burner. There is a bathroom downstairs with a shower over the bath a washbasin and toilet. The upstairs comprises a large double bedroom with a king size bed, beautiful historic exposed oak beams and Velux roof windows with views to St. Mary's Church. The second bedroom has 2 single beds, a wardrobe and chest of drawers. There is central heating throughout the cottage; underfloor heating downstairs and radiators upstairs. There is a pretty enclosed, south facing garden with lawn, patio, BBQ and table and chairs to enjoy the beautiful Devon weather. There is a friendly village shop, post office, Grade 2 listed pub and Grade 1 listed church, all within a short walking distance. WiFi is available. Towels and linen provided. 1 small dog accepted for which we charge £25. Kentisbeare is:Approx.3 miles from the M5 .Approx 30 minutes to Sidmouth and Exmouth The Cathedral city of Exeter is a 20 minute drive within easy driving distance of Exmoor, Dartmoor and the North Devon Coast. There are National Trust properties nearby. Eden project is approx an 1.5 hours drive. Gliding nearby Golf course and driving range 15 minute drive. Fishing lakes within walking distance There are some beautiful country walks on the door step Guest access Guests will have the use of the whole cottage and private garden with patio, bbq and furniture.
