This is a large room with king bed, spacious bath with walk in shower, and private in room hot tub. This room comes with free WiFi and a refrigerator and microwave. We have convenient on site parking and are located right on Rt 51 for an easy trip into Pittsburgh for sporting events, shows and dining out. We have a staffed front desk 24/7 to help with any thing you might need. This room does have a flight of steps from the parking lot to the private entrance. The space This property was constructed completely out of stone by a previous owner Mr Kaufman. His plan for this motel was to cater to the business traveler of the era dating back to the late 60's. This motel was also going to provide supplemental income once he retired from his profession as a electrical engineer. During his career he helped construct some of the power plants and hydroelectric dams in this region. He worked on this property mainly by himself and only on weekends. This great endeavor took him approximately 40 years but unfortunately he passed before he completed his life's work. Kaufman constructed this property as if he were building a power plant, I believe this building could withstand a nuclear blast. The property was finally purchased and finished 20 years after Kaufman passed and survived as a very busy roadside motel. I have recently purchased this distressed property and have brought new life to the motel. We are currently remolding each room, one by one, to the quality that Kaufman had foreseen. There have been several fatalities on this property in the past 20 years and it is known by many to have supernatural activity. Many customers have been awaken during the night to unexplainable sounds. I recently had a strange encounter In a secret underground tunnel (believed to have been used by the mob) that extends under the property. I do not believe in ghosts but there is no logical way to explain the event. Nevertheless you will enjoy your stay.
