The Wanaka Tree House is a luxury home nestled amongst native Kanuka trees with views of the Southern Alps. Lake Wanaka & The Clutha River are only minutes away. Down town Wanaka is 5 minutes drive away with a restaurant and cafe only 5 minutes walk away. The Tree House has been designed for guests to relax and appreciate incredible views of Wanaka. Whether you're in the lounge, on the deck, retreating to the flat, in the bath or spa, this home will make your Wanaka vacation incredibly unique. The space I have spent the majority of my life in Wanaka, and wanted to design a house that encapsulates the areas beauty, and share this with visitors. We created a contemporary, architectural tree house that floats amongst the bush with un interrupted panoramic views of the Southern Alps. This includes uninterrupted views of Mt Roy. Although you're only minutes from down town, you feel like you're in the country due to the privacy of the Kanuka trees. We used a lot of custom wood work throughout the house interior and exterior to create a very warm, inviting space that makes you feel at ease. The large 140m2 deck is truely a stand out feature. It spans all around the house and you really feel like you're floating in the tree tops. There is a terraced lawn off the master bedroom and a private spa bath tucked into the Kanuka trees. The third bedroom is set up with a Cot, and low childrens bed. In 2025 we have added a self contained unit below the house which is a private retreat seperate to upstairs. It's the perfect home to make your visit to Wanaka incredibly relaxing and memorable. Guest access You have access to all four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a large living/dining and kitchen area, a seperate living area down stairs, scullery, laundry, and large deck. Along with all outdoor areas, including spa pool. Other things to note The driveway to the tree house is steep. It is gravel for the first part and concrete for the second part. It is suitable for any vehicle, but if you have a 4wd please use 4wd mode. Guests must drive up the driveway slowly. There is parking for four vehicles at the house and plenty of parking on the section.
