Central village chalet-5min walk to mountain lifts

Chalet Forestière is a stunning forestry chalet offering all you need, be it on a winter ski break or on a summer retreat. Close to hikes and bike trails, its central village location means restaurants and shops are also only a short walk away. Private terrace area with BBQ and outdoor jacuzzi makes this a wonderful place to spend time in. Secure bike storage available also. The space Located in an excellent position being only a 5 minute walk to the Les Houches ski lifts- equidistant to both the Bellevue Gondola and the Prarion Gondola (perfect for the ski school) Chalet Forestière is a perfect choice for those wanting a centrally located modern chalet. It is also only a few minutes walk to some of the local restaurants and shops in Les Houches (with more a further 5 minute walk up the main road). It also benefits from being directly on the Chamonix Valley bus route with the bus stop 1 minute walk from the chalet taking guests straight into the heart of Chamonix town. The 140sqm chalet has been decorated in a modern style but at the same time, has gracefully retained its history and charm with the original beams from the 1800s still in place, spanning the double height kitchen and living areas. The living area is furnished to a high standard with soft deep sofas, state of the art smart tv, Netflix, Sonos audio system, strong wifi router and soft lighting. Alternatively, if being seated inside is not what you want, guests may prefer to enjoy the amazing views on the terrace looking out over the Chamonix valley whilst using the outdoor jacuzzi. The kitchen area is well equipped to make your self catered stay as easy as possible. With all the essential appliances such as an oven, hob, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine, washing machine/dryer and dishwasher, catering for your friends and family will be a pleasure at the chalet. The kitchen also has an island with bar stool seating to allow guests to sit and relax and if you’re not cooking, enjoy the amazing views out of the full width double height windows across the Chamonix valley. Three bedrooms are located on the raised ground floor level. One double bedroom has its own ensuite toilet and shower room, with the other double (with ensuite shower) and other 4 single bunk bedroom (with ensuite bath) sharing a toilet. The 4th sleeping area (no ensuite) which is also a double is on the mezzanine level (fully enclosed for privacy- but with a reduced head height) and is accessed by a ladder from the living area. There is plenty of space to store any equipment in the secure cave located under the Chalet, with electric boot warmers for those needing to dry out their boots after a day skiing, snow boarding or hiking, ski and pole racks and hooks for coats and other pieces of outdoor clothing. There is also space for bikes. For our younger guests, we have a box of toys and board games available as well as having a large stair gate for the top of the stairs, bed rails so they don't fall out the bed, baby monitor, travel cot and highchair all available to you on arrival should you need them. Guest access Parking A covered parking bay with space for two cars (Bay 1 in Garage Block 1) is exclusively available to guests located in the Grand Balcons, the large block of apartments almost immediately on the left as you drive past the chalet. It is no more than a 50meter walk to the front door. We suggest if you are arriving by car, that you pull into the Grands Balcons by the recycling area and one of your party, walks the short distance to the chalet to collect the parking fob from the inside key box (as detailed below) to allow you to open the car park door and park in the bay. *There is strictly no parking to the rear of the chalet as this is an accessway for our neighbours or in the car park spaces directly opposite the chalet. Please do not stop or park in these places. Key box: To access the key box, you will need to enter through the front gate of the chalet using the combination code (set out below). Please then proceed across the terrace to the key box (located by the cave door immediately in front of the front gate) where you will find the parking access fob and keys to the chalet. To open the key box, please enter the combination: 2274. Key box combination: 2274 Bootroom/cave access The bootroom is located behind the door where the key box is located (opposite the main entrance gate). Here you will find a large space ideal for storage of all your equipment, be it skis or bikes as well as heated boot warmers. It is accessed by the combination code (set out below). Bootroom/cave door combination: C2489X Other things to note Please note that check in is from 4pm and check out is at 10 am (we will endeavour to be flexible if we can but please let us know well in advance). Parking is available for up to two small cars in a covered garage located a 3 minute walk from the chalet door (approx 75m away). !! We ask that you strictly do not park on the neighbours parking area in front or at the back of the chalet. Please follow the guidance that will be sent to you on obtaining the keys to the garage. For guests who are staying at the chalet for less than 7 days and who would want to use the jacuzzi, there is an additional charge of 110 Euros (to cover the end of stay flushing). Please advise us when booking if this is something you would like access to and we can request the additional fees accordingly at that time. No parties as we are in a village and this is out of respect for our neighbors. Lastly, as we are in the centre of the village, the road that links the Prarion and Bellevue lifts runs outside the house.
