Description

A luxurious and elegantly built 3 bedroom villa, situated in beautiful Ubud, Bali. Come and experience the breathtaking views of the jungle and rice paddy fields, while you sit back, relax by the pool, and enjoy our 5-star accommodation. ** ALL bookings 7 nights or more, will receive a care pack of food to get you buy the first few days with fruit, eggs, bread, milk, coffee etc The space The rooms all have King sized beds (convertible to twins on request) and high quality cotton bedding. Bedroom is outfitted with AC; ceiling fan, water dispenser (hot & cold); small fridge; safety box; tea/coffee tray; TV w HDMI cable to plug in your laptop, desk to work from if needed, 6 Intl. sockets (master room) 3 Intl. sockets (rooms 1 & 2), built in robe with a lots of storage. Each suite have private large indoor / outdoor bathrooms, featuring freestanding stone bath & small garden, wide door to accommodate wheelchairs, handrail next to the toilet and a second shower attachment for people who need to shower sitting down. All bedroom and bathroom doors can be locked. Master Suite – 78 sq/m (includes a small kitchenette, day bed, bi fold windows, + your own private entry) Deluxe Suites (rooms 1 & 2) both at 60 sq/m. The common area has a large kitchen /living and dining room overlooking the swimming pool and the cabana. The living area also has a powder room next to the office which has a wide door and hand rail to assist people with a disability. There is an 11m day bed and an undercover outdoor sitting area to escape the sun if needed. The day bed also features 2 wood consoles with International sockets + 3 USB plugs so you can charge your laptop or phone beside the pool if required. All day tea & Bali coffee will be available in the kitchen at all times. You can cook (if you prefer) your own meals in the main kitchen, or we can arrange a cook to come in to cater for your needs, or food can be ordered from a number of local warungs (restaurants) and delivered to the villa. Information about the various warungs will be provided, along with menus and contact details. The Pool: The large infinity pool (4.5 x12m in size + 1.6m depth both ends) is spectacular with ledges and steps at each end and a raised ledge which allows you enjoy the view of the valley below. The pool is made from stone tiles to blend in to the natural environment and is treated with chlorine. There is an outdoor shower near the pool if you want to rinse off after a swim. Please note that there is no pool fence so it is not safe for children under the age of 10. Wi-Fi: We provide high speed fiber optic WIFI throughout the entire villa (current speed at 70Mbps via Biznet). Security and Parking: Villa Merdu is completely enclosed and secure. There is private parking for a number of scooters and two vehicles. Guest access All guests have full access to the villa: living room, dining room, day bed, pool, and the kitchen, which is equipped with cutlery, plates, pots, pans, a rice cooker, blender, industrial gas oven/gas cook top, hot/cold water cooler, sandwich press, toaster & a microwave etc etc. Other things to note Housekeeping and Laundry: Our housekeeper will clean the villa daily (or as requested). Room cleaning will be at a time that suits you best. Your clothes can be taken to the local laundry if required. (A medium sized bag will cost you around $4-5 USD – 24hr turn around). * for expensive pieces of clothing, we recommend you hand wash these yourself.* Masseur: We also have a number of massage therapists who - by appointment – are available to give treatments at the villa. Therapists bring their own tables, and command a price of 240,000 Rp per hour. Other things to note: Temples in Bali: Please note that if you are visiting a temple you will need to wear appropriate clothing (women must wear a long sleeved shirt or dress, a sash or scarf around your waist, and a long skirt to cover your legs. Women please note: you may not go into a temple whilst menstruating. Men must wear long pants and a shirt which covers your shoulders. Everyone must wear something on their feet. Please do not take photographs inside a temple without permission and certainly not when a ceremony is underway. Craft, Art and Cooking: During your stay in Ubud, you will find a lot of artistic creations from wood carving, jewellery making, to batik material workshops and landscape painters.
