Watch the leaves change from our lakefront paradise! Relaxation! This 4 br, 2-1/2 ba lake home sits overlooking Lake Independence in a friendly neighborhood at the mouth of the Potomac River! Enjoy the lake, with boating, swimming, fishing, and raft lounging from dock or neighborhood beach; enjoy getting your feet in the sand and finding fossil shark's teeth at the neighborhood or local state park beaches; pickle ball and tennis courts; grill and lounge on the deck with a leaf-view and hot tub. Swim, fish, and boat from my private dock or the community beach! Our 4 bedroom, 2 living area home gives you plenty of space to spread out for any sized family! The master bedroom has a queen bed and attached full bathroom on the main level with a separate deck looking out toward the lake. This level also has an open full living/dining room, with gas fireplace, that open out to a full-length deck with hot tub. A modern kitchen and breakfast area and 1/2 bath, and washing/drying area complete this main level. Downstairs includes the 2nd with a queen bed, 3rd bedrooms with a double bed, and the 4th bedroom (open to game room/no door) that has one double bed and 2 bunk beds. There is also a downstairs living area, with a fold-out queen bed couch. (This is the game room, with ping pong, a gas fireplace and stacks of games and puzzles to play!) The back yard has a path to our private dock (with a canoe, paddle-boat, kayak, and swimming access) and a path to the backyard fire pit area overlooking the water. A gas grill is also available for use during your stay. The garage has room for your two cars; door opener access is from inside garage. Garage also has bikes, fishing equipment, boat supplies, rafts that can be blown up, a tennis ball machine for the local courts, sports equipment, etc. David will be only a phone call away, if you have any questions or concerns during your stay. This book Includes a room by room list of what's available at the house that guests can use, and also close by local restaurants, attractions, and hot spots, etc. NO smoking and NO pets allowed on premises. Great community amenities as well! 1. (A neighborhood map is in kitchen to left of sink.) Walking loop of lake and neighborhood is 5-ish miles. 2. Stratford Harbor Community Center has private tennis courts, in-season Olympic sized pool, basketball hoops, private beach, marina, lake beach, etc. for your use. 3. Tennis courts can be used/accessed with combination lock on court fence. a. My tennis ball machine can be used at courts by plugging into outlet at picnic area, with chord strung to courts. (Balls are old but its fun to use!) b. Extra rackets are available in garage. 4. Pool is available during regular summer hours. Please follow all pool rules. 5. Basketball courts are available. Basketballs are in garage. 6. "Lake beach" is across the lake from my dock, with a dock and floating dock for swimming and diving. Two beaches on the Potomac are great for fossil hunting, beach combing, sand castle building. One is big and sandy with picnic tables and another is a small hike down with lots of walking and large cliffs. You have full access to the entire house, private dock, and lake. (There is a small workroom and several closets in the house that are locked.) The neighborhood common areas are only available to owners and guests. As a guest, you will have full access to the clubhouse pool ($10/person guest use fee), boat ramps, marina, and neighborhood beaches as long as you properly display your guest tag. We are in a rural area, and the nearest stores are at least 10-15 minutes away. Big box stores are even further (>30 mins away). There is also poor reception for several national cellular carriers.
