Relax in our sunny, fully renovated 109-year-old barn loft—rustic charm with modern comfort. Perfect for both business travellers and holiday makers. The space Our home was built in 1917, and we believe the barn followed soon after. The loft apartment has been lovingly rebuilt from the ground up, preserving only the original loft joists and floorboards. The result is a modern, air-conditioned space that retains its rustic, rural charm with native timer feature walls and coffe table and linen cabinet made from the oroginal barn door and exterior cladding. Nestled in a peaceful leafy suburban setting close to Tauranga CBD, expressways and Mount beaches. The barn overlooks our small orchard with fruit trees, and chickens. There’s plenty to enjoy for families—kids love our friendly animals: Guinness the dog, two cats, and five hens. Many guests say it feels like a peaceful country escape right in the middle of town ❤️ The loft features a luxurious orthopaedic queen bed and a comfortable sofa bed. A portacot and high chair are available on request—please let us know in advance if you’ll need the sofa bed, portacot and high chair ❤️ We’re near the scenic Daisy Hardwick walk and raised boardwalk that cirlces the Waikareao estuary—perfect for 'off the lead' dog walks, running and cycling. Please ensure you book for the correct number of guests so we can prepare the space accordingly. Guest access For your convenience, we have a key-safe for easy access to the barn loft if we’re not available to meet you on arrival. Feel free to relax on our deck or take a seat on the park bench in our back garden that we call the orchard. Off-street parking is available in front of the white barn doors at the bottom of the drive. (Please leave us enough space to open our gardening/wood shed and barn storage doors). There is space to turn around to depart. If bringing trailers or boats please reverse down the drive. Check-in is from 2 pm, and check-out is strictly at 11 am as our cleaner arrives promptly at that time. Other things to note Drew has decades of experience in tourism, both locally and abroad, and is happy to share recommendations for fun, scenic, and adventurous activities in the area—whether you prefer a relaxed or more active experience. Please let us know in advance if you’ll need the sofa bed. Uber Eats etc is available for convenient meals, and beach towels can be provided on request. Our cleaner arrives at 11 am, so we appreciate a prompt check-out. Many local tour operators can collect directly from the Airbnb. Feel free to help yourself to fruit from our many fruit trees when in season, including limes, avocados, mandarins, feijoa, and peaches.
