You’ll love our place it's peaceful and private. You'll find it's been recently refurbished and is a very tidy self contained guest house with rural views from your back deck, the sea views can seen from the front of the units driveway. We are in a quiet and safe area, a great base to explore the Bay of Islands. Swimming beach within walking distance. Perfect for couples and solo adventurers. Everything supplied, complete kitchen, bbq, linen, etc just bring yourself and your personal affects. The space If you are looking for a little bit of peace and quiet, don't like to be hemmed in by other accommodation units or just need to get out of the 'rat race' and chill out then our one and only very comfortable and spacious guest unit is just waiting for you ! We are 15 km from Russell and we know you will just love it ! Guest access We have a large parking area out the front, your parking area is on the left hand side as you approach the drive way. Our letter box with the number 252 and the name of the Lodge is at right side of the drive. Other things to note Please note that when traveling by car it is not advisable to take the Waikare Road which is situated just past Kawakawa and immediately after the one way bridge on the right hand side. This is a narrow unsealed road! Continue on SH 11 to Opua where you will catch the car ferry over to Okiato - follow the road until you reach the Service Station and make a right turn, we are about 12 km along this road. Another route is to turn off at Oakura (on the right side 15 km North of Whangarei) don't turn off into Oakura keep going 59 km further on and this will take you around the east coast to us, the road is a little windy but there are some magnificent ocean views further along.
