Glenroy Cottage

A rural cottage located in the grounds of the main Homestead. We are at the base of the Eastern Boundary of The Mt Lofty Ranges, the views of the hillscape are breath taking, a real secret, as few tourists come this way. Guests are able to relax, explore, bike, walk, visit the Barossa Valley townships, Mannum and the Murray River areas and the Adelaide Hills, all within an easy drive. The space Driving to Glenroy Cottage will take you through the picturesque Adelaide Hills, an hour and a half from Adelaide Airport. Many small townships, rolling hills, farms, vineyards and great views will inspire you to explore the area once you arrive at Glenroy Cottage, or maybe just a relaxing break with some leisurely walks down the side road from the cottage . Glenroy Homestead is situated in a farming district, wheat and sheep mainly. Houses are few but cropping paddocks are vast. We are situated in an Accredited Dark Sky Zone. The River Murray Dark Sky Reserve is the first of its kind in Australia and only the 16th in the World. The stars are in your lap on a clear night. We welcome star gazers and budding astronomers. We are also 1 km from the Eagle View 4x4 driver training /adventure track. Come and stay with us and enjoy exploring the district after your drive. Only Telstra mobile service will receive reception. The property is in a 'black hole' for all other carriers. Guest access Entry to Glenroy Cottage is through the double gates on the western side of the property. The gates will be open for your arrival and the key will be in the door. I will come over and meet you when you arrive. Other things to note Minimum stay is two nights anytime.
