The pristine sand (and popular surf club cafe) are just a short walk down the hill. The space Northern View at Boat Harbour Beach is one of the few places in Australia with uninterrupted north-facing water views. Watch the sun rise over the water in the morning and then gaze at the Milky Way at night through the cleanest, clearest air in the world. It is just a short walk down the hill to the spectacular beach (with the bonus of a workout on the way back up!). There is excellent swimming, snorkelling, fishing and rock pools to explore. We often find ourselves spending the day just hanging out at the cafe, and messing about on the beach - Boat Harbour is that sort of place. Guest access The whole house is available to guests and sleeps 8 in comfort: 3 bedrooms with queen bed and a room downstairs with two bunk beds and another queen bed. There is a lounge room with TV, rumpus room with pool table and a sunroom with unbeatable views. After an ensuite renovation in September 2025 the house now has three toilets and two modern showers Other things to note You should find everything you need around the house. Linen and bedding is provided. The kitchen is well equipped. There is a cafe on the beach and a small shop and petrol and post office at Boat Harbour up the hill -- near the primary school and excellent Thistle Hut Cafe. It sells local produce such as potatoes or berries cash only as well as milk etc and also fish bait. The nearest supermarket is Woolworths 15km away in Wynyard. We recommend grabbing supplies before you arrive. Wynyard has most other services you need including chemist, doctor, bottle shop etc, and excellent fish and chips and great coffee at Umami. Nearest emergency medical services are at North-West Regional Hospital in Burnie. The entire village is on tank water. It is safe to drink, but we provide casks of filtered water for you to use during your stay just in case. There is a washer and drier, TV with Netflix, DVDs, CDs, books, and a few games. Wireless NBN WiFi. Also a pool table. There are 3 toilets and 2 showers but no bath. We once had a plumber at the property for 5 hours to unblock a toilet full of baby wipes. It would be helpful if you did not put foreign objects down the toilet. The house is large.
