Description

Perfect for couples or families who wish to escape the city and enjoy an authentic farm experience. Experience growing food through gardening in the morning and explore the surrounding area in the afternoon. Arrive Friday evening or Saturday morning and leave once you are done exploring on Sunday. All meals and accommodations are provided including wood-fired, organic pizza on Saturday. The space Warrior On Weekends 2 Day Weekend Program Inclusions: Accomodations Breakfast Morning Tea/Coffee Lunch Afternoon Tea/Coffee Dinner Pizza Party on Last Day Guest access Pizza Rest The first structure you see and where our guests dine. It also serves as the classroom for the farm’s Permaculture courses and training. Wood-fired Pizza Oven At the right side portion of the Pizza Rest is the pizza-making wonder we call Pizzasaurus. Its design is inspired by a bee colony in a tunnel-shaped, dinosaur-looking oven. Though over the years, it has evolved into a frog. The biggest pizza oven we have is called King’s Kalbo located farther to the right of the Pizza Rest. Its back is bug or turtle-shaped whose face is a tribal man with huge beautiful ears. The left ear has an earring that grants anyone who whispers to him their wish. Open Kitchen It is where the gustatory experience at the farm first happens. Its wide windows allows ample kitchen space and the bamboo blinds help protect during rain. A few steps from it is our wood-fired stove. Open Dining Hall It is where our staff, students, guests and volunteers come to dine. The view on the east side is our Mandala Garden. To the southeast is our Pig Vegas, our organic black rice paddies and Mt. Kalimwan with its beautiful rugged mountain ridges in Mablad and its neighboring communities, Cadiao and Maayos. Green Warriors Loft The farm is designed and built in multi-functional structures. The Dining Hall and the Pizza Rest are high-roofed structures, each with lofts at the second level used for our staff’s humble yet cozy accommodations at the farm. Eco-lodge Our mud house forest lodge is surrounded by a flowing tilapia pond, a view of the mountain and of the forest. The trees around it create a nice cool shade during the day and gets a fresh chilly breeze at night. Eco-toilet It is an elevated mud-crete structure with conventional toilet seats, has a regular supply of tissue paper and does not need any water for flushing. It is our hope that by properly managing and eliminating solid waste and human waste effectively and efficiently, we copy nature by not putting anything to waste and instead, transforming it to its next greater purpose. Outdoor Shower Room Its half-covered tin roof provides an exciting sky view of either the Mablad summer skies or its misty rainy days. Pig Vegas This is where our pigs are raised. We provide our V.I.P.’s (Very Impressive Pigs) a cozy nipa hut for their quarters. The floor is made of thickly covered rice husks for them to walk and sleep on. They have clean, flowing water to drink. There are dedicated bamboo cells for mothers to nest their piglets. They have scratch posts, a mud pool and even a gravelly area where they love to hangout under the sun and forage nearby plants around the edges. Pig Cafe This is where we cook the pigs’ food made from rice bran, kangkong, gabi, papaya along with other edible plant-based food. Chicken Coop This is where our organic chickens are raised. It has a banana pit in the middle where they love to hangout. There is also a termite system in place made from rotten bamboo or wood. There is a nesting shade, a mini-pond and a circular hut where they can forage for food around its edges. Gardens It is located in different areas around the farm each with unique structures to suit different plants. These are the Mandala, King’s K, Ruby’s Alley, East Victory Garden, Worm Farm Garden, Toto’s Legacy Garden, North Side Alley, Pig Chow Garden, Kitchen Garden, Crocs Wall Garden. Organic Rice Field Our organic black rice field is located on the southeast side of the farm. Its scenic view is the beautiful Mt. Kalimwan and the mountain ranges of Mablad, Cadiao, Maayos and Marigne. Native Tilapia Pond This is where we grow our grass-fed fish with free-flowing water wherein we harvest every two months. Nursery It is located near the kitchen so we can visit it every day. Worm Farm Our worm farm is where we get good soil for our gardens. Community Forest It is the area where we leave the wildlife in this area.
