The Roost Merthyr Tydfil is a small gated cabin site tucked away in a quiet spot. Gwynfa is a cosy cabin with separate shower room & kitchen made for bikers, hikers & outdoor explorers. From The Roost, ride straight onto the Taff Trail (route 8) & reach BikePark Wales in 15 min, or its a short drive into the Brecon Beacons National Park. At the end of a busy day, unwind by the firepit. Our cabins are cosy, practical & dog-friendly - with secure bike/gear storage & awesome facilities. The space Gwynfa is one of five cosy cabins with separate shower room and kitchen at The Roost Merthyr Tydfil - a small, peaceful cabin site designed with outdoor lovers in mind. Perfectly placed for adventure, we’re right on the Taff Trail (Cycle Route 8), just a 15 minute ride from BikePark Wales and a short drive in to the Brecon Beacons National Park. Whether you’re here to ride, hike, explore or simply switch off, Del Fryn gives you a warm, practical base to return to. The cabin sleeps two adults and two child in our signature 4ft-wide/small double bunk bed - spacious for one, cosy for two. It has a handy storage porch with for bikes and gear. The Roost is a secure gated site with five cabins, space for a couple of small campervan and awesome facilities, creating a relaxed, friendly atmosphere without feeling busy. The Cabin: A self-contained, warm and thoughtful set up for short stays and outdoor trips. Sleeps 2 adults + 2 child 4ft wide small double bunk bed Base sheets are provided. You can bring your own bedding & towels, or add them on if needed.
