Edski Lodge in Mount Baw Baw

Edski Lodge is a traditional timber lodge with 10 bedrooms (combination of single, double and bunk beds) sleeping 36. We have a large kitchen (stocked with cutlery crockery and cookware), dining and living space, including pool table, table tennis table and a fire place. Edski does not provide linen / bedding as standard, we do provide a pillow but ask guests to bring the rest. There may be an option to hire linen, please inquire with us. The space ***We only offer full lodge bookings through Airbnb although individual room bookings can be made directly with Edski Lodge. The foyer and stairwells are considered public shared spaces within Edski Lodge and are not for exclusive use through your booking, however during summer a full lodge booking means that all rooms are booked by your group and so it would only be your group utilising these spaces even though they are classified as public shared spaces. ***We do not take Winter bookings through Airbnb, Winter bookings should be made directly with us via our website. Bedroom Configurations: Room 1 - 2 sets of single bunks (sleeps 4) Room 2 - 1 set of single bunks (sleeps 2) Room 3 - 2 sets of single bunks and a single bed (sleeps 5) Room 4 - 1 double bed and 1 single top bunk (sleeps 3) Room 5 - 2 sets of single bunks (sleeps 4) Room 6 - 1 double bed and 1 set of single bunks (sleeps 4) Room 7 - 1 double bed and 1 single top bunk (sleeps 3) Room 8 - 2 sets of single bunks and a single bed (sleeps 5) Room 9 - 1 set of single bunks (sleeps 2) Room 10 - 2 sets of single bunks (sleeps 4) We are not providing any bedding at this time except for a pillow. We ask guests to bring their own bottom sheets, pillow case for our pillows, doona / quilt / sleeping bag, towel and toiletries. We do supply bath mats, hand towels and tea towels (for drying dishes in the kitchen). We may be able arrange hire bedding for you. please inquire with us. Heating System: The heating system operated on a timer, the heating system will turn on between 6:30am and 9:00am and then turn on again at 5:00pm until 10:30pm. The heater is off during the day however there is a fire place for warmth in the main living area during the day, details of the wood store are located on the walls of the living area. The Area: Mt Baw Baw Mt Baw Baw provides spectacular mountain views all year round, with public trampolines, mountain biking and bushwalking offered in summer and a whole new world of pristine powder and frosty fun in winter. Located just 2.5 hours’ drive east of Melbourne CBD and one hour from Gippsland, Mt Baw Baw Village is also home to the Village Central restaurant (open Friday to Sunday) and a small gift shops. Activities such as disk golf and laser tag can be booked through the resort website. Guest access Through airbnb we are only offering full lodge bookings which means you will book all 10 rooms at Edski lodge, no other guests will be staying at the property during your booking. Parking is in the main carpark of the resort and we are located less than 50 meters from the carpark. Other things to note Heating of Edski Lodge is by a hydronic boiler, the boiler is set to come on at specific times in the morning and of an evening, each room has a wall radiator which has a valve on it to control how hot the radiator gets when the boiler is active. For times when the boiler is not active, the main living area can be heated via the wood fireplace. We have found that temperatures at Mount Baw Baw during summer are adequate for this limited use of heating and the lack of air conditioning. The reason for limiting the heating use is due to the cost of gas within the alpine resort (we are not connected to mains). There are 2 main bathrooms for guests to share, 1 female and 1 male, each with 3 showers and 2 toilets. Note that in the female bathroom, there is a shower with a base designed to be used as a small baby bath. Finally please note that there are no super markets, general stores or petrol stations at Mount Baw Baw, you should stock up and bring everything that you need for your stay. There is a restaurant in the resort, bookings are essential during summer to make sure they will be open.
