Meadowbank Retreat is a 2 bedroom shack that has double bed bunks in the second room. Sleeps from 6 comfortably, up to 9 at extra cost per person. It is located in a tranquil spot on a hill on the meadowbank river. It’s unique placement means you look down the river not across. The space *Currently from March 2023 until June 2023 the river will be drained so the power company can fix the wall. This means that the river will be unavailable during this time to use* you are still able to book and stay, just not use the river. It’s unique placement means you look down the river not across. You could also choose to go walking through the bush or down the road. If you are just wanting to rest unwind and relax, then on the deck looking over the river is for you. There is outside BBQ facilities or even a spot for a campfire. There may be plenty of opportunities to see Tasmanian wildlife in action, depending on the time of year if you wait and watch. From platypus in the river to wombats and echidna’s ambling through the field, or the cheeky possums at night. There are plenty of activities to do that involves the river including exploring, fishing(byo gear), swimming, boating( byo boat) or kayaking(3 kayaks provided as well as life jackets). It’s 45 minutes from New Norfolk and only 25 minutes from Mt Field National Park or 20 minutes from Ouse(local shop) . It provides the perfect quiet getaway with family and friends. Guest access You can access all the way down to the river from the house Other things to note There is opportunity to tie your boat to pontoon provided.
