Mountain gites with stunning views, pool and sauna

Gite Cerise and Gite Noisette are 2 adjacent gites on the ground floor of an ancient Catalan hill farm at 1000m altitude called La Taillede. Each gite has 1 bedroom, a bathroom, and kitchen/dining room. The property is 10 minutes away from the picturesque mountain village of Corsavy with restaurants, cafe etc. There is a large pool, shared with other guests, a playground, lots of animals and a sauna. La Taillede is for lovers of nature, wildlife, peace, fresh mountain air & incredible views. The space These 2 gites work very well for 2 couples wishing to be on holiday together, but also have their own space; or for families with older kids. Each apartment measures 50m2, and comprises of an entrance area where you kick off your boots and hang coats. The kitchen/sitting rooms are open plan. There is a large fridge, induction hob and electric oven in each gite. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you might need. There is a television in each sitting room, where you can access your netflix account etc. There is also high speed WIFI internet and good mobile phone reception. The apartments are very well insulated; it stays cool in the summer, and warm in winter, with the help of a fabulous wood burning stove. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable, with natural rock features, and ceiling beams made out of wood from our own forest. The beds can be made up as super-king doubles (with topper) or large singles. The bedrooms each have an ensuite bathroom with a spacious and powerful shower, toilet and wash basin. Guest access The large south facing South has incredible views of the Vallespir and the Mediterranean in the distance. There is a BBQ/firepit for your use, plus shaded and sunny dining areas, a bench comfortable chairs. The sauna and cold plunge pool are right next door on the same terrace, as is the reading room with vaulted ceiling. The large 12 x 6 metre pool is shared with us and other guests and is open 24 hours a day. There is a wonderful masseuse and energy healer on site. Treatments take place next to the fire in the yurt, except in the summer when the masseuse will come to your gite. Please enquire for more info. Other things to note In the summer, we offer a free walk with donkeys and refreshments on a Sunday afternoon (nice way to meet us and other guests), there is a communal meal in our garden once a week which you will be invited to. On a Friday afternoon we gather by the pool for drinks; everyone is invited if they wish to come. We can provide you with information on walking, bouldering, running and mountain biking routes, as well as interesting places to visit. We are in the middle of a large bird sanctuary. You are likely to see Eagles, Vultures and Hawks, Woodpeckers, and Wrens and Robins are everywhere! If you are hiking, you might see a Wild Boar (more active at night), Roe Deer and the illusive Pyrenean Isard. Our water comes out of our own mountain spring and is the best water you will taste. Please don't buy bottled water! If you have extra friends or family wishing to join you, we also have a 2 bedroom apartment with private hot tub, as well as a 3 bedroom gite (also with private hot tub) and a yurt in it's own field.
