ABEKA SOLAR APARTMENTS - your home from home The eco-friendly solar apartments are constructed from up cycled shipping containers. The 4 units are located in Abeka (South Tesano) in an authentic bustling Accra neighbourhood community. This home from home is a well-appointed 1 bedroom apartment designed to let in maximum light and breeze. A free weekly clean and change of bedding and towels is provided for guests staying multiple weeks. Electricity is included in the price subject to fair usage The space This ground floor apartment is tastefully furnished using local furniture and fittings where possible. Each air-conditioned unit has an open plan living-room with a sofa bed, kitchen area and en suite bedroom. It is equipped with a 2 ring electric hob, microwave, fan,fridge freezer and kettle. Crockery pots and pans, sheets and towels, toilet rolls, broom, mop and welcome pack are provided. The one time welcome packs include snacks, tea, coffee and an assortment of condiments. Electricity and water in Ghana can be unreliable, so to ensure your comfort the apartment is equipped with back up solar energy that runs fridge, fan, lights and charging devices that should get through most power cuts. If mains water supply is interrupted, the apartment has a 600-litre water tank which provides several days of water. This building is constructed from shipping containers so you may hear the contraction and expansion of the structure. WIFI internet access available with supplied mobile wifi device (returnable deposit applies). Guests easily can top up the data when the initial free 2 GB data package provided runs-out. ELECTRICITY: Electricity in Ghana is expensive, we try our best to be eco friendly and urge our guests to do the same by turning of A/C and water heaters etc when they leave the apartment. We cover electricity up to 100 GHS per week which is APPX £12 (pro rata for those staying less than a week). Guests are responsible for buying more credit for electricity if they exceed this amount.
