TO the SOUTH (left) Only 2 minutes drives brings you to the Marriott Beach. There are many beach restaurants to choose from. Another 10 minute drive brings you to Suan Son beach, a beach of 5 km with many food stalls. After Suan Son beach is Ban Phe , a small village with many restaurants and the ferry to the holiday island of Koh Samet. Alternatively you can hire a speedboat to collect you directly from the private beach area at HinSuay NamSai to take you on a tour of the smaller picturesque nearby islands with their fine sandy beaches and coral reefs. NATIONAL PARKS After Ban Phe village and in the direction of the Rayong Resort is the beautiful stunning Ko Samet National Park. This park is a wonderful delight and has wheelchair accessibility plus some wonderful hikes to the viewpoint which is huge boulders and crashing waves. The Rayong Resort is a great place to have a drink after your hike. It is old colonial style teak hotel sitting on a peninsula of its own. RESTAURANTS Turn south (left) from the main gate and drive along Highway 3145. You will find many restaurants to choose such as One Beach(never tried) Ken's (terrible ), Lim's (never tried), Phons Beach (excellent), Wang's (good) and Three Trees (excellent). You can also eat at the Marriott and Novotel. Turn north (right) from the main gate and you will find two simple basic restaurants in the village, both are good. Continue along to Aksorn Hotel whose restaurant has mixed reviews. In Mae Phim beach there are many restaurants such as Tequilla Sunrise ( a foreigner hangout more like a bar but great foreign food) . There is also an Italian restaurant with great food. IF you feel the need to shop, then drive to Rayong and Central Plaza right on highway 3. FOllow the signs and stay on 3 and look left for Central Plaza. It is big fully equipped shopping center. Condo Tree Top is a great “get away from it all” destination located in an unspoiled tropical paradise set amongst the natural hillside rain forest vegetation.
