Somerset farmhouse in stunning rural location

A warm welcome awaits you at Charlton Farm, a 17th Century farmhouse. Twenty minutes south of Bath, easy striking distance of attractions such as Longleat, Clarks Village, Stonehenge, Bradford on Avon, Wells, Frome, Babington House, The Newt, Bristol, Wookey Hole, Cheddar Gorge, Stourhead and the Bath & West Showground. Two bedrooms available that share a bathroom (walk-in shower). There is an extra fee for single room occupancy. The two rooms are charged separately. The space Charlton Farm overlooks the romantically named, Snails Bottom Valley, with stunning views from the bedroom window and the garden. We are a warm and caring family who love hosting people from all around the world and sharing this beautiful corner of England. There is one large room with a king sized bed plus a single bed, then, next door, there is another smaller bedroom with a standard sized double bed. If your party is three or less, please let us know at the time of booking, if you would like to book both rooms, otherwise we will assume that you are happy all sharing the main room. We have black-out blinds in the bedrooms so you won't be disturbed by summer sunrises. We are a smallholding with sheep in the field, chickens, a duck, a dog and three cats. Whilst we would love them to be silent - sometimes, we cannot control this! They should not disturb you at night and guests often say that they sleep very well, often experiencing unexpected lie-ins! We discourage the cats from entering the B and B rooms but they occasionally slip through the net. Guest access There is plenty of easy parking on the drive, right next to the house. You'll come in the main house door, then the bedrooms and bathroom are accessed via your own separate staircase. You shouldn't be disturbed by any others in the house. During your stay There's generally someone around to help if needed, but if you just want your own space we'll happily leave you to it. Should you need it, please ask for extra information when booking eg. taxi numbers or local pubs/restaurants. Other things to note Whilst there are no cooking facilities available for guests, we do provide a kettle for tea and coffee plus there is a dedicated fridge available for guests' use. Apologies, but breakfast is NOT provided. There are two rooms available- pink - larger - up to 3 guests and lilac, a double room. We block out the unbooked room as unavailable so that you the bathroom to yourselves. Please specify which room/s you would like to book.
