Exempt from payment are children up to 12 years of age, patients who must undergo medical examinations or treatment and their companions, persons staying in accommodation facilities as a result of measures taken by public authorities to deal with social situations or emergencies (natural disasters or situations requiring humanitarian aid), volunteers who provide services in the event of disasters, bus drivers and escorts of organized groups, state police and armed forces personnel engaged in public order and security activities, workers engaged in accommodation facilities, university students up to 26 years of age and those participating in programs such as Erasmus at the degree courses active in the city, residents in the municipalities of the vast area of Oristano.
