The space A spacious, refurbished one-bedroom flat located in Campden House, a classic period mansion block on Sheffield Terrace in Kensington — a historic and upmarket district of central London. Situated on the raised ground floor, the apartment has direct access to a large communal garden, just steps from the end of the corridor. The flat features natural wood flooring throughout and is fitted with new double-glazed sash windows that ensure a quiet, warm environment while preserving the building’s period character. The apartment has a southern aspect, benefiting from abundant natural light and brightness throughout the day. Although there is no air-conditioning, the flat generally stays cool in summer — even during heatwaves — thanks to mature trees outside that provide shade from the midday sun. Previous guests consistently highlight the apartment’s space, cleanliness, quiet atmosphere, and prime location — all within easy walking distance of parks, cultural landmarks, restaurants and shops. Agatha Christie’s former home is directly across the road, and the street has been home to other well-known figures over the years. Additional Information This is our primary home, which we lease on Airbnb while we are away. Please note that personal belongings are stored in some cupboards and drawers. There is no TV but you can try to connect your laptop to the desk monitor located in the bedroom. No parties or events are allowed. Strictly no smoking or pets. Guests are expected to be respectful to the neighbours and the property, and to take good care of the flat while enjoying their stay and being made feel at home.
