The Weavery Boutique Bed&Breakfast1
Description
Cozy & characteristic loft-room with private roof terrace. Our house is located in a quiet side street within in the canal district. The museum square, inspiring art galleries, all the major shopping streets, lovely restaurants, bars, cafes are all around the corner. The space Set in a protected 17th century house in the heart of old Amsterdam, the Weavery offers the unique character and style of a boutique hotel, with the personal service and homey comfort of a family run bed & breakfast. The Weavery is as perfectly located as can be imagined. We are just 5 minutes walk from the museum square and a short stroll from all the big theaters. All the main shopping areas like Leidestraat, the 9 Streets and PC Hooftstraat are just around the corner and so are many lovely cafes and restaurants. OUR ROOMS "Gezelligheid" (roughly translated it means cozy and pleasant) we keep top of mind at the Weavery. Each room is beautifully furnished and has a private bath and w/c, separate entrance and tea/coffee making facilities, fridge and microwave. Our charming rooms feel like a home away from home to the independent minded traveler, who likes to move at his own pace. In short, we designed the Weavery to feel more like a pied-à-terre than a hotel or traditional bed & breakfast. We have two rooms to offer. The Silk room and the Suite. This listing is for the Suite. THE SUITE The Suite was most likely once a storeroom full of opulent silks and fine linens, destined to grace the well-to-do in faraway lands. This room would have housed the entire wealth of the family who once made the Weavery their home. The exposed original beams of the high ceiling hold many clues to the times when this building was a busy workplace and home during Holland’s golden age. The suite is both comfy and spacious, and has access to its own private roof terrace overlooking internal block courtyards; a hidden side of the real Amsterdam most tourists rarely get a chance to see. There are two queen-sized beds. The regular queensize bed is in the back of the room. The additonal queen-sized bed is in the same room, above the beams, in a cozy 'gallery' reminiscent of the traditional Dutch “bedstee”. (please note that there is a surcharge for the use of the second queen-sized bed). Please note that there is a small surcharge of 15,- Euro/night in case you prefer to sleep in the 2 separate beds! Please let us know when you make the booking if you would like to book the 2nd bed for this surcharge. However, this bed is not meant for additional guests. We can only host 2 people per B&B room! The Suite is an island of comfort with its own large bathroom with bath and rain-shower, and a separate private w/c. Our B&B is self-catering but complimentary coffee, tea and muesli are provided. Tea and coffee making facilities are in the room so you can ease your way into the morning, and for your convenience there is also a fridge in the room. If you have some downtime there is a TV, and if you don’t there is wireless Internet to keep you connected. Please note that there is no elevator in the building and the Suite is located on the 2nd floor. There is a very steep and narrow staircase leading up, so unfortunately the room is not suitable for people that have difficulties with that! ROOM FACILITIES Based on the 2nd floor, featuring: - 1 Queen-size bed - additional queen-size bed in the same room, in the small 'gallery' above the beams (please note that there is a surcharge of 15,- Euro per night for the use of the 2nd bed) - premium, natural beddings from Cocomat - Ensuite bathroom with separate bath and rain-shower - separate W/C - Hairdryer - Rituals bathroom amenities - Tea/coffee making facilities - Fridge - Lounge corner - Flat screen TV - Wireless Internet - Private roof terrace As mentioned above, we also have an additional room to offer. Please have a look at our other listing if you are interested in our other double room, the Silk room. **We include in-between room cleaning every 2nd or 3rd day, depending on the lengths of the booking.** **There is an additional fee of 20,- Euro for arrivals later than 9pm** **Dutch registration number: 0363 3293 F67E 2ECB 51E9 ** Registration Details 0363 3293 F67E 2ECB 51E9
