Enchanting Rural Cottage in a Magical Setting

Even though Wah Cottage is neatly 100 years old, it has been fully renovated so that it retains its country charm while still delivering creature comforts. Decorated with a nod to the french farmhouse aesthetic, the light filled rooms feature french cream walls and plantation shutters and farmhouse kitchen. The place is filled with original artworks, found objects and loved pieces. We love to stay at this cottage between our travels - so welcome to our home away from home. The space The cottage and the outdoor areas are yours to use when you stay with us. That includes the pool and pool deck and the Pavilion with outdoor kitchen and toilet/ shower room adjacent to that Pavillon. There is a meditation deck out by the small dam and a boules court in the bottom corner of the property. The only thing that we ask you not to use is the golf cart or the ride on mower during your stay with us. There is secondary accomodation at the back of the block - unless you have booked this for your party of guests - this is not to be accessed. Please remember that we are on tank water here...there is no mains water so be mindful about your water usage. Guest access Explore the whole two hectares. Turn on the festival lights at night if you wish to soak in the atmosphere in the Meadow area. Play a game of boules on the boules court at the far end of the property. However, please always pack up the boules kit and bring it back to the cottage with you should you use it. There are herbs and vegetables growing around the property (depending on the seasons) so feel free to harvest them for your cooking or consumption while staying with us. There is plenty of ambient or mood lighting at night throughout the property...so lighting of candles outside is prohibited. As are open fires in the fire pit in the Meadow. This geographic area has a high fire danger rating and has a history of bush fires so lighting of fires without prior discussion and approval will mean immediate removal from the property. Other things to note Please always keep the front gates to the property closed as you exit and enter the driveway. Please enjoy the wildlife but don’t approach or attempt to pet the kangaroos as they can be unpredictable and we don’t want you to be ‘in their way’ The place is kept mowed and maintained to create the park like atmosphere and different vistas, but always be vigilant for snakes and cane toads. Having said that the green frogs are harmless represent a happy, healthy space and the frill neck lizards are our friends! The next door neighbour’s cows often come down to graze in the paddock next to the front yard, and while they are a joy to watch, please don’t feed them. Guests are asked not the have parties at the property as it is offered on Airbnb as a place for rest and relaxation.
