Cozy outside bedroom with new, comfortable queen bed, has its own sunny veranda with stunning sea view. A few meters to the house, a private guest bathroom. A recently re modeled house is available for guest use, lounge, kitchen, laundry, and a large veranda with comfy outdoor furniture to admire the view. The house has spectacular views and is set in a large rambling garden, purpose set up for the native birds, Bell birds, Tui, Kereru, in abundance. Guests have the run of house and section. The space A modern kitchen is available for use, space in the fridge and freezer space in stand up freezers. Plenty of modern utensils, blender, pantry space and a spectacular view to work with. Towels and linen toilet paper provided, please bring your own toiletries. Some things to do. Sit with the magnificent view and enjoy the very busy native birds. Visit Whangaehu Beach, if you have wet suit and mask, Paua and crayfish in the low tide rock pools. Enjoy the Whangaehu to Cape Turnagain walk. Visit Herbertville, Porangahau and Porangahau Beach. Organise a trip to the longest place name. During your stay Guests will be sharing the house with Rob McLean, caretaker of the McLean family home, local Historian, naturalist, tree planter, pest eradicator, host. Three little foxy dogs also share the section, but they live outside. A light breakfast will be made available for guests to prepare for themselves, Tea and coffee will also be available. All other meals guests will be expected to provide for themselves. It is 14 ks to the nearest restaurant/takeaways so a $15 charge per person will be made for meals, please communicate your wish for or availability of meals on the first night. These can be paid for with cash or internet banking All the family enjoy having visitors, so there will be opportunities for shared meals, shared contribution, perhaps if you had a penchant for cooking we would pay you! There are many areas both inside and outside the house to find your own space, or just follow the sun around. Other things to note Some local additions of note Whangaehu Beach is apprx 5 kilometers down the road. The house section is great for bird watching with large numbers of Tui, Kereru, Korimako. Much to our surprise, people have found a great spot for winter star gazing and milky way photography 3 kilometers from the house
