The Farmhouse: your country home away from home.

Whether you are looking for some quiet time to relax and enjoy the slower pace of country living, planning a girls weekend away (in house massage available), or a family get-together, The Farmhouse is a perfect choice. Sleep in and enjoy a late, 3pm checkout. The space Set on 10 acres of farmland, with lovely views of the local countryside, the house was built in the early 1900s and has been fully renovated with modern luxuries Wake to the sound of kookaburras and the sight of kangaroos in the near distance. Take a stroll through the herb garden or join us to meet/feed our resident farm animals (miniature ponies, alpacas, goats and sheep) . We even have visits from other native wildlife such as echidnas and koalas, and a large variety of birds including rosellas, eagles and waterbirds on the dam. The house has 4 bedrooms (sleeping up to 8 people), 2 bathrooms, wood heater and air conditioning (split system) in living areas, fully equipped kitchen with coffee machine (tea and coffee supplied), games room with pool table, smart TV and DVD player in the lounge room, plus electric blankets, wall heaters and ceiling or portable fans in the bedrooms. Each bedroom contains 2 single beds. These can be joined to form a king size bed. If you would prefer the king bed option, please let us know when making your booking. Three of the four bedrooms have their own TV with DVD player. The bathrooms contain shampoo, conditioner, body wash and hair dryers for your use. The water supply to the house is from rainwater tanks. It is safe to drink, but bottled filtered water is also provided for you if you prefer. We have a portacot with sheets/quilt/blanket. Just let us know if you'd like us to set the portacot up for you so beds can be moved to make space in advance. There is also a highchair and baby bath. The house has been built over three levels, and is unfortunately unsuitable for wheelchair access. Outside our pool house contains a queen size sofa bed (just let us know in advance if you'd like it to be set up for your stay), an infra-red sauna and plenty of room to relax or have a massage (in-house treatments can be arranged for you). Two desks let you have a separate workspace from the house, or an area for the kids to sit and draw. A split system provides heating and cooling. In summer enjoy a swim in the magnesium salt pool, whilst in winter warm up with a cuppa by the outdoor fire pit or in the sauna. Our new multipurpose/yoga/exercise room is a great area (7x9m) to let the kids play or escape for some morning yoga and meditation. Yoga mats, blocks and straps are provided, along with various other exercise equipment. There are also fold out trestle tables and chairs for activites/crafts. Feel free to collect fresh eggs from our chickens each day! Just ensure the nesting box lid is secured when you are finished. Outside underneath the cubby house there are a number of bikes you are welcome to use. Please note that being located in the countryside brings it's own limitations - our water supply and septic system are unable to cope with large numbers of people, so we have a strict limit of 10 guests / visitors (excluding infants). Guest access Plenty of parking space is provided in the private carpark at the back of the house. Other things to note Considerations if you are wanting to bring children: We do not usually recommend children staying as there are a few safety concerns: Swimming pool: please make sure gates are securely closed. Pond: (in courtyard) please make sure the door from the dining room to courtyard is kept closed. Wood heater: Please monitor children at all times if the wood heater is being used to prevent burns (a fireguard is NOT provided) Steps: The house has been built over three levels - if you have an infant that has started to crawl/walk we suggest bringing a portable playpen so they can play in a safe area and not fall from steps inside or outside the house. Dam: whilst it is not permitted to enter the paddocks with our animals, the dam does not have a child-proof fence. If you have children and decide to book we will assume you have read and are comfortable with the above concerns.
