Piki Matiti beach house

If you dream of a relaxed holiday by a stunning beach in a quiet setting, you’ll love this beach house. Piki Matiti (which means long summer) is located a few metres from a sandy beach that’s safe for swimming and ideal for walks or beach combing. The house is approached through a small garden of native trees and shrubs underplanted with renga renga lilies. Guests particularly enjoy the outdoor shower, and long evenings spent around the big outside fire. Children and pets are very welcome. The space This is a place to hang out at at the beach with your friends or family. Open plan living includes kitchen, dining/lounge, enclosed log burner fire, large oak table and a sunny window seat. Art and ceramics are all local. In one bedroom you will find a queen bed and in the second bedroom, 2 king single beds. Linen is provided. Bathroom facilities include a shower, 2 heated towel rails and 2 toilets, one separate. For swimmers, there’s an outdoor shower. Entertainment includes TV, WIFI, books, music and puzzles for young children. The kitchen is well equipped, with everything a cook needs, including a BBQ and a massive outdoors fire. Winter heating: A plentiful firewood supply will keep you cosy. For a night out try our local, the Mussel Inn, just down the road at Onekaka. Guest access You have exclusive access to a fabulous beach house, surrounded by a native garden and generous wooden decks that catch the sunrise and sunset. You also have access to a shed containing the paddle for a skiff-kayak. Other things to note What to bring for your stay? Beds are made up for your arrival. All linen is provided. Kitchen pantry staples and dry goods are on hand and anything else is can be purchased at the Collingwood General store, open until 5pm. Bring your own dairy supplies such as butter, fresh milk.
