Secluded Waterfront Cottage

Magnificent, private, waterfront, fully self-contained retreat in Little Lovett Bay on Pittwater. Experience nature 1st hand from our 'water access only' property which backs onto Ku-ring-gai National Park, providing many bush walking trails and an abundance of wildlife & birdlife. Arrive in our commuter boat and leave cars, queues & stress behind. Kayak to waterfalls, waterholes, & secluded beaches. Expect to see wallabies, possums, lyre birds, king parrots & lorikeets amongst others. The space Swim off the beach or jetty in sparkling, clear water. Explore the bays and creeks in the 2 kayaks or 2 SUP's provided. Please be aware that guests are only covered by Airbnb's insurance whilst on our property and all other activities off our property, are undertaken at guests own risk. Your boathouse comes with a new, fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. An outdoor shower in a garden setting is also provided. There is standing headroom in an upstairs bedroom with spectacular views of the bay. Relax in the cosy, protected inside dining and lounge area. Dine in the outdoor covered entertaining area with adjoining gas BBQ, enjoying the summer breeze. Have a glass of wine, a meal & toast marshmallows around the fire pit on a cool evening, with wood & marshmallows supplied! Relax and watch the stars transit overhead. All areas offer beautiful Pittwater views. The owner's passion for recycled timber is evident in his custom built Huon pine, Tallow wood & Spotted gum tables. Artwork and nautical models were collected by the owners during their many years sailing overseas. Enjoy our complimentary breakfast of homemade muesli and freshly laid eggs from our chickens. Please bring milk, bread & all other supplies. Basic non-perishables are provided such as rice, pasta, olive oil, tea, coffee beans, salt & pepper. Sunbeam espresso coffee machine and Sunbeam grinder. As we live beside the National Park, in the bush, you are likely to see all kinds of wildlife, including spiders and if you're lucky, a python or tree snake. Guest access Guests have private use of boathouse, outside entertaining area and fire pit deck area. Guests have shared access to jetty, pontoon, beach and lawn area. Other things to note Access to the boathouse is by 'water only'. You cannot drive to the property. We offer a complimentary pick up and drop off in our commuter boat from either Taylors Point or Church Point, depending on most suitable destination for weather conditions. Our boat offers some protection but please bring jackets during wet weather.
