Upon arrival, guests will be treated to the Kingfisher Creek experience with an open fire, outdoor hot tub, comfortable furnishings, warm lighting, complimentary toiletries, fresh eggs, and bread to toast. The space Kingfisher Creek is a lovingly built hill-set country house, which is set on 20 acres of stunning Adelaide Hills forest, citrus, stone fruit and terraced gardens. This mud-brick home is in the sought after Adelaide Hills and is a must stay for any holiday maker. For a romantic weekend getaway, this is the one place you will not want to leave. For families or bigger group getaways, there is a vast array of spaces that will indulge you, relax you and energise you. This comfortable, warm and bright home embodies the spirit of rest and relaxation. Enjoy the tranquility and tree-top views from the hot tub on the deck or relax by the fireplace. If you wish to venture away from this idyllic retreat, there is lots to keep you busy. Visit Stirling, Mount Lofty Botanic Gardens, Cleland Wildlife Park, Hahndorf, Balhannah, numerous boutique wineries, Monarto Zoo and scores of bush walks throughout the Adelaide Hills and Fleurieu Peninsula region. The home provides very large rooms, the master bedroom is downstairs and has one king bed. There are two further bedrooms upstairs - one with a queen bed and ensuite, the other with 4 king single beds as 2 sets of bunks. All of the rooms have high quality cotton linen and are styled to perfection. An infant cot with linen can be provided. This is available on request at at no extra charge. There are two bathrooms, with the downstairs bathroom including a bath. An initial supply of complimentary toiletries are provided. The bathrooms are clean, bright and modern. In addition to the bathrooms, there is a large laundry with combination washing machine and dryer which guests are welcome to use during their stay. When wanting to relax there is a cosy living room and a dining room with a combustion heater and large table that seats 8. Outdoors there is a dining table and hot tub undercover and a deck. There is no TV and no WIFI, but you are welcome to use a portable WIFI device and mobile phones are well serviced and can be used as a WIFI hot spot. We made the deliberate decision NOT to have these services so our children experience outdoor play and play time together. There is a radio (with unreliable reception unfortunately), but it plays CDs and has bluetooth audio. Board games and children's toys are available. There is a gas BBQ on the verandah and a fully equipped gourmet kitchen with Nespresso coffee maker (some pods are supplied). The lounge has a reverse-cycle air conditioner and fan. The dining room has the wood fire and the bedrooms contain pedestal fans and column heaters. In the winter months, relax in the dining room in front of the toasty warm fire place while listening to your relaxing tunes or catching up with your favourite book. A generous supply of firewood will be provided. Kindling can be sourced from the forest. Firelighters, matches and paper are provided. The fully equipped kitchen, dishwasher, gas cook top, microwave, and large oven for lovers of cooking leads through to the dining room. A high chair is available for your convenience. The large backyard is fully secure and child friendly. There is a dam in the valley. It is important to supervise children at all times when both inside and outside the yard. The hot tub is fully fenced, but again children should be supervised at all times when outside, or when in the hot tub. The hot tub is not recommended for infants under the age of 12 months or in pregnancy. The house is supplied by natural rain water. By virtue of this the water pressure is low and can be tricky to regulate - please be aware of this when showering. We would be grateful if you could please use the water carefully. We have UV filters for the taps in the kitchen so the water is safe to drink. Guest access As our guests, you will have exclusive access to the house and grounds. The bedrooms are made available according to the number of guests, or as requested/required. The cottage and main shed are NOT to be accessed. There is one locked cupboard next to the main downstairs bedroom and an unlocked cupboard near to the main downstairs bathroom. These should not be accessed. Other things to note Please let us know if you require an infant cot so that we can have it made up for your arrival. All linen and towels are provided free of charge. Complimentary eggs, a loaf of bread, fresh milk, tea and coffee are supplied for your first breakfast. If there are any food items in the cupboards, pantry, fridge or freezer you are welcome to use these. An initial supply of complimentary shampoo, conditioner, and soaps are provided. Unfortunately we cannot offer single night stays. A discounted weekly and further discounted monthly rate is available.
