Location: With an enviable location in the heart of the city and yet not crowded or noisy, Aashray is your cosy cacoon in the religious capital of India. It's in a colony, but the main road linking the entire city is less than 100 meters away. Railway or bus station, temples, Ghats, shopping centers, mall, craft centers, restaurants, boats, hospitals and eatables, are all available within the radius of three kilometers of the house. There are two guestrooms with en suite bathrooms, Classic and Heritage, each with their own identity. Classic, one floor up from the ground floor household, as the name suggests, is a perfect blend of the modern comforts with the quintessential Indian touch. Constant flow of natural light, pure rich colours, bathroom with western fittings and a separate shower area, all add up to its charm. And in case you decide to spend a lazy afternoon with a book or just lazing, the grandfather's armchair maybe your perfect corner. Heritage, on the ground floor, takes you back to the era that once was. Spacious, without any compromise on comforts, is adorned with antique furniture going back more than 80 years that belonged to another generation Kapurs. And you can step out anytime into the world of an Indian household, be it the morning rituals or evening arti. We assure you of our very best. Your Hosts: Aashray comes with the touch of hospitality of Mrs and Mr Kapur, known to be one of the best hosts in the city. An extremely courteous couple. Mr Kapur, although a Consultant by profession is an avid reader of Hindi literature and devotes a lot of his time in keeping alive the culture and arts of Varanasi. Widely traveled across India, Mr Kapur has a rich background of knowledge of Indian culture which shines through in all his interactions. You can even request for Mr Kapur’s company on your city and Ganges tour for an enriching experience. Mrs Kapur, a designer and a post graduate in Indian Classical music, is known more for her warmth and the magic she creates with the Indian veggies (you might almost forget your meats and fish for a while!) She can thrill you with fresh, simple yet delectable dishes from her kitchen (fondly referred to as the 'Tasty-Health Food Lab' by guests) that are an intrinsic part of the Indian hospitality. Staying with the Kapurs, you get to sample the unique mix of traditional and modern values that personify the India of today. Thanks to their interest in Yoga, Indian history, local culture, cuisines and customs, they are able to share a lot in the moments that you are part of their lives.
