Description

This is a large, elegant Edwardian terraced house with garden and wonderful views. It has original features and has been refurbished to make it light, spacious, comfortable and cosy with antique and modern furniture. With wooden double glazed windows, original floorboards, an open fire, wood burning stove, modern bathrooms and kitchen and sunny garden it is a 'Home from Home' in a safe neighbourhood, with corner shop, nearby cafe, lovely views, parking outside the house and kind neighbours. The space There are three good sized double bedrooms. Two regular double beds and a smaller queen size double bed. These are eco made beds with high quality Simba mattresses. Every bedroom has clothes storage, a table and chair, bedside side table, lamp, rug, mirror, and a lovely valley view. There’s a top floor 'walk in' luxurious double shower and toilet and there's a first floor bath with shower and toilet. Eco toilets and showers. The large ground floor double lounge has a marble original open fire place . There is one three seater sofa and three easy chairs in the lounge. The long wall adjoining the neighbours in the lounge is fully sound insulated. You can relax and sing in there and play piano. There’s an easy - to - operate home cinema system with screen and speakers. ( you can connect a laptop to this). Also board games, many books, space to do your morning yoga and a decent acoustic guitar. You are welcome to use these with care. Please respect the neighbours and do not make any noise disturbance after 10pm. Thank you. The rear kitchen diner has a cosy wood burning stove. ( not to be used in the summer). There are all high quality fitted appliances including: Gas hob, extractor fan, microwave, electric oven with grill, fridge, freezer, dish washer and washing machine. It has a large toaster and kettle. There’s a table that seats up to six people, all things you’ll need to cook your own meals with and some special food machines you can use too. Blender, food mixer and spiralizer. The popcorn machine is cool. ( ps..the takeaway Indian near here is extremely good and worth trying.. see the pamphlets in the kitchen) The kitchen french doors lead into the garden with crab apple, blossom trees, roses and ivy. There’s a glass round garden table with retro sun umbrella and 4 chairs. ( Use two kitchen chairs for 6 people). Also a little bench and bistro table and mini bench. Also an outside tap for washing walking boots, a water butt for watering plants, and an outside light and power point should you need them. There’s an extendable washing line, pegs and a compost. There’s enough room to have an outside disposable BBQ ( Very carefully ) Please respect the neighbours after 10pm with noise levels, thanks. Guest access Access to the house is via keys in the key lock and you will be given the code. You'll have access to the entire house and garden except a locked office. PARKING: You can park on the immediate road/s with daily guest parking permits. You will need to pay for these in advance. They are 4.15 pounds per day. If you let me know in advance how many days you need I will give you my bank account and you can pay me directly before you arrive. Thank you. Other things to note * The kitchen floor is hard and might not be suitable for younger children. * I do not provide crib, baby gate, high chair and other baby/child items at present, but if you let me know before end of May, I might be able to help with these things. Previous guests with babies have managed fine. * I require prior notification if you are having 'non staying' guests to visit. I would expect some information about them, how many, when they are visiting and whether they are adults and or children. They must be well known to you and will be charged the ‘extra guests’ rate. *Please note this house cannot be used for parties or have non paying guests sleeping over. * This is a smoking free home. * My neighbours are lovely respectful and kind people.
