UJITEI is in the countryside of Okayama, Japan Our town of the population is around 5000 people. When we start a vacation house UJITIE, our town doesn’t have foreign travelers. But now, we have more than 200 guests every year from all over the world. ----ABOUT THE AREA------- It is in North Okayama prefecture. It is beautiful countryside. It is called " Sunshine country, Okayama" That's why we don't have many rainy days. There are two houses on the grounds. One is my parent's house. Nobody uses the other house. So You can use the house as your house. The house is surrounded by my father's artworks. He works as a farmer and makes artwork. Every artwork has a deep concept of nature and his life. You may drink sake and talk with him. Our town has many mountains and rivers and rice fields. It is really beautiful in every season. We don't have many houses near our house. So you can relax and enjoy your vacation! There is a beautiful and clean river near our house. You can swim in the river. Also, you can see Firefly and many stars in June. In Spring, You can see cherry blossoms. In Summer, You can see fireflies and stag beetles and beautiful stars. In Fall, You can see the red leaves of the mountain. In Winter, You can see snow. We have family rice fields, if you would like to experience rice planting and rice-reaping, you could do it.(It depends on when you come) We also have a garden, So you can use it and eat fresh vegetables as much as you can. It is free. We hope to share our normal life in the countryside. Japanese countryside is very beautiful. And our life is made by nature. We would like to share it. -----LOCATION----- JR Mimasaka Kamo is the nearest station. It takes one and half hours from Okayama airport It takes two and a half hours from Osaka to Tsuyama city by bus. It takes three hours from Kyoto to Tsuyama city by bus. It takes one and half hours from Okayama station to Tsuyama station by train. It takes 30 minutes from Tsuyama station to Mimasaka Kamo station by train or car. We have hot springs in our town. It takes 2km from our house. The supermarket, tennis coat, and sports ground is near also 2km from our house. It takes 5 minutes to go to the nearest temple on a walk. It takes 10 minutes to go beautiful waterfall. -----FACILITIES----- •Three Bedrooms - One is flooring. Two bedrooms are tatami to sleep maximum 6 people with Japanese style" Futons". •One toilet - very clean toilet. •One Shower room with a big bath. •Great kitchen with all you need, refrigerator, cooking stove, dishwasher, and dishes. •One big living with a wood stove. You can see the beautiful mountain from that big windows. •Huge garden - You can relax with a coffee. •Free internet. 【Culture experience】 ・Ikebana(flower arrangement) 3500yen/2-3hours We go to the mountain together and pick up natural flowers. And you can learn how to arrange the flowers into vases. ・Shodo(calligraphy) 3500yen/2-3hours You learn the origin of the Chinese characters. You draw simple Chinese characters. We make your name with Chiese characters and draw it. - Guest access You can use a house. My parents live in the next house on the same ground. Other things to note No smoking in the building All rooms are non-smoking. If you smoke, please use the designated outdoor area. About fireworks Fireworks are only allowed in the parking lot. The time for fireworks is from the evening until 9 pm. Neighborhood Considerations Please be considerate of the neighbors by avoiding loud noises and nuisances as the neighborhood is a quiet environment.
