Bawley Beachcomber
Description
'Bawley Beachcomber' is a classic Australian beach house with retro styling. Perched in the trees, the house enjoys an elevated position and is less than 100 metres from the dog-friendly Cormorant beach. Enjoy waking up to the sound of waves! Bawley Point is a hidden gem. Nestled between two national parks with three stunning beaches to choose from, you can enjoy surfing, bush walks, or simply relaxing on the beach with a good book. We hope you enjoy the bawley beach vibe as much as we do! The space 'Bawley Beachcomber' has a bright, airy living space with restored vintage furniture. It is a 2 bedroom house with a maximum of 4 persons. The main bedroom has a queen bed and the second bedroom has two singles that are placed together to make a (short) king bed. All beds have quilts with covers. Sheets are provided and one bath towel per person. We allow well-behaved pets. If you are planning to bring your furry friend please see more notes about this in the details section. Guest access You will have full access to the two bedroom house and front and back yards (which are not fenced). 'Salty' the caravan is currently not available for rental. You will have shared access to some of Australia's most beautiful beaches! Other things to note Please respect our lovely neighbours and keep down the noise. We welcome young kids but please be mindful that the house is not set up for small children. There are steep stairs and a fireplace that has no guard. We are on tank water and would appreciate careful water use. Sometimes the tannins from the eucalyptus leaves on the roof cause a yellow taint to the water. We still drink the water, but boil it first if you are worried. Also, we have a septic system so please don't put sanitary products, chemicals or fats down down the toilet or in the sinks. Due to bushfire regulations, the outdoor fire pit can be used ONLY during the winter months and on non-windy days. We welcome well-behaved dogs, but they are not allowed in the bedrooms or in the furniture. There is no fenced yard, so dogs need to stay in the balcony while you are out. Hence it is not a suitable house if you wish to go out for long periods or if your dog is worried about being on a balcony. The balcony is also not be suitable for small dogs and toy breeds. We respect our neighbours so can not accept dogs that are prone to barking. There are steep stairs to the house so it is not suitable for dogs that are scared of heights or stairs. In saying that, there is a fantastic off leash dog beach very close to the house and most dogs have a great time! We love coming to Bawley Point to unwind, relax and reflect (and switch off our devices!), but we do have internet/wifi to enable streaming TV and computer-based work. There is a smart tv that you can access using your tv app log in. There are books and magazines to keep you entertained....not to mention the great walks and beaches. We do not have a full-length mirror as we enjoy the house and surrounds as a place for internal, rather than external reflection (but keep this in mind if you are coming for a special event). We are lucky to be surrounded by amazing national parks, and with that comes some wildlife which includes the odd creepy crawly. Don't be alarmed by birds on the balcony and the occasional possum on the roof...and if you are lucky you may see kangaroos or potaroos in the backyard. STRA registration PID-STRA-14161.
