The Cottage @ Hedges

The Cottage @ Hedges is an easy 10 minute drive from the centre of Ballarat. The cottage sits within a pretty country garden about 20 metres from my home on a small rural property. Close to parklands, Lake Wendouree, art galleries, wineries and lots of great cafes and restaurants. The Ballarat-Skipton Railtrail is just 300 metres away - perfect for quiet country walks and cyclists. It is comfortable inside and out with plenty of shady spots to sit in the garden. The space The cottage is open plan with a separate bathroom - suitable for 2 people. It has a super comfortable queen size bed with quality linen. It is furnished with many well loved antiques - including a beautiful cedar dining table and chairs. It has a well equipped kitchen and comfy 2 seater sofa. The front verandah, surrounded by iceberg roses and box hedges, is perfect for an outdoor breakfast or evening drink watching the sunset....there is also a Weber BBQ available on request. There is WIFI, TV and DVD player with a wide selection of DVD's and plenty of books and jigsaws on the shelves. It is cosy in winter and cool in summer with a split system air-con. Guest access Guests are welcome to enjoy the garden and help themselves to herbs and vegetables . Don't be surprised to see me digging . planting, pruning in the garden -there is always something to be done. I will always respect your privacy but it can be busy with visiting family and friends! Other things to note I have 2 small dachshunds and they can get a little excited when visitors first arrive! I will have them contained in my front garden, so they will not be in your space. The driveway and paths are gravel and brick -not bituminised or concrete. I supply a welcome breakfast of fresh milk, eggs, sourdough bread and butter. There is a coffee machine with a variety of pods and other condimemnts in the cupboard!
