Light and Airy 1-Bedroom Flat

This is our holiday home, we come down once a month for a weekend and stay longer at Easter and in the summer. We love coming here to get away from it all. A short walk inland from the ferry terminal, it is perfectly placed for picking up provisions from the town centre and for walking or cycling all over the island. This flat has limited amenities (no wi-fi, no TV, and no shower), but come to Rothesay to get away from it all, and soak in the evening in a bath full of bubbles. Perfect! The space There are windows on 3 sides of this flat so you can see Arran from the kitchen, the hills beyond Rothesay Bay from the front room, and a residential area stretching away from the balcony. After dark the residential area looks surprisingly enchanting with the lights from the streetlamps. Guest access You are welcome to use the entire flat and all the utensils in the kitchen. Please note that although the hob and grill work on the cooker, the oven is broken and will not turn on. But help yourself to tea, coffee, sugar, condiments, and any other provisions in the kitchen cupboards. This is our weekend flat, which we only manage to visit about once a month. This means that while there is space in the wardrobe in the bedroom and an empty chest of drawers there also, much of the other cupboard space has our stuff in it ready for our visits. Other things to note There is no wi-fi, shower, TV or oven. If you are desperate for wi-fi, the library has it and is just around the corner, you can get it at the ferry terminal, and most of the pubs have it. We tether to our mobile phones when we stay (o2, GiffGaff & 3 have good coverage for the flat) If you want to watch a film, the Discovery Centre has a lovely little cinema that we'd definitely recommend. And the nearby swimming pool is great for individuals and young families.
