Hello Sailor is the perfect slow-paced couple getaway located in a peaceful rural outlook, only moments from the sea. Guests are spoiled with beautiful interior design, a spacious, sun-drenched verandah, a gorgeous deep bath, olive-green paddocks to enjoy, and the most stunning sunsets. The space Steeped In Historical Charm Hello Sailor sits on one of the oldest dairy farms in South-West Victoria and dates back to circa 1860s. The original dairy shed has been recently renovated into a beautiful and spacious one-bedroom cottage with a collection of new and vintage interiors. It sets the scene for a relaxing and unique rural stay for guests. Beautifully Designed Interiors In collaboration with Belle Hemming from the Bright Belle Project, every detail of the space has been carefully and thoughtfully chosen to create the most wonderful interiors for your stay. During your stay, you can`t help but notice the passionate choices in fabrics, colours and unique pieces sourced from all over Australia. Comfortable Living Space Enjoy a huge three-seater couch and immerse yourself in a hand-selected curation of books and vintage novels. The designed space encourages reflection and timeless connection with your chosen companion, or simply just by yourself. Journal to your heart's content or sketch in the artist's sketchbook with an array of drawing materials left for you. The living space is equipped for the colder months with a freestanding wood heater that is purely divine and is such a stunning feature of the space. Perfectly hiding behind the white vintage cabinet is a smart TV. A fully equipped kitchen For those who love to source local produce and cocoon themselves into the space with a night of cooking, Hello Sailor boasts a fully equipped kitchen with a freestanding Belling gas cooktop and electric oven. Prepare a lovely meal or breakfast in bed that can be enjoyed overlooking the peaceful rural paddocks. A Cosy Bedroom Cosy up into the plush queen bed and curl yourself into the deep blues and greens of the Culitiver linen duvet. The bedroom has been designed as the ultimate retreat to maximise the deepest of sleep. Wake up to a view of the 100-year-old mulberry tree and our residential goats meandering in the paddock below you. For comfort, the bed has electric blankets and a reverse-cycle heater/cooler. Modern amenities We have recently installed Starlink, which is an unlimited high-speed satellite internet service. This is available to all guests and is the fastest service in this area. The space is far from the days of it being an old milking shed, and it has been restored with all the modern facilities you need, including a smart TV, dimming lights and a Bose speaker. Shared but private outdoor spaces The cottage shares the property with two other cottages that can be found on Airbnb (The Cottage and The House), all coming under the name of Lucy's Lane. Each cottage has its own unique space and has parking for two cars. We would like each guest to respect the privacy of others while staying at the property. Other things to know We are not pet-friendly, just bring yourselves. The bathroom ONLY HAS A BATH and NO SHOWER. It is designed to be a slow-paced retreat where you have ample time to bathe. Checkin There is a lock box next to the door of the cottage, and you can check in by yourself when given the details upon confirmation of your booking. It`s a seamless and easy check-in. The Beautiful Moyne Shire Located only a few minutes from the town centre by car or a 30-minute walk we are a happy medium between a rural retreat and the comforts the town has to offer. A short drive to surfing beaches, the Moyne River for fishing or a stroll with an amazing array of wildlife on display from wallabies to sea birds. A few minutes in the car you will find The Port Fairy Golf Club which is a classic 18-hole natural links course that is one of Australia's golfing hot spots. It has the most spectacular views of the ocean. For the active, you can bring your bikes and ride the rail trail from Port Fairy to the historic township of Koroit or ride out to the famous Port Fairy Lighthouse with its spectacular views over the East Beach. Another must-do is Victoria's oldest dormant volcano, Tower Hill, where you can immerse yourself amongst emus, koalas and birds in their natural habitat. For the foodies, Port Fairy has some fantastic local cafes and restaurants, from fine dining to casual eats. A full local guide welcomes you upon arrival. Guest access The Dairy Cottage is situated on a property that has two other cottages on it that are also accommodation cottages. They each are private and rented out individually but the driveways are a shared space. We ask all guests to respect each others space.
