Sit on the north and east-facing verandah and bask in the history of this isolated pioneer's cottage on a sprawling wheat and cattle property 25 kms from Coonamble. Ideal for family farmstays, stargazers and birdwatchers, this outback cottage has all the amenities you'll need for a truly relaxing bush experience. The space Farm Tours by appointment are available with your friendly host Anne. Other amenities include a hot artesian bore bath in the middle of a vast paddock which is perfect in winter and the ideal remedy for the aches and pains of the weary traveller. Guests will be surrounded by wildlife including emus, kangaroos, and over 25 different species of bird life. The cottage is located 1km from the Whittonbri homestead. An additional motel style room with bathroom is available closer to the main house for overflow of guests. The cost per night is $50. ***Please be aware of rarely sighted snakes in the hotter months but remember that they are more afraid of you than you are of them.
