the Big Barn at Poplars Farm - completely unique

We are a working farm in sunny Leicestershire. We've converted the old grain store, stables, cart house and loft into a beautiful four-bedroom space - the Big Barn. There's a large dining space with snug and wood-burning stove; a kitchen; living room, and fruit orchard to sit in and enjoy the views. We're close to market towns Melton Mowbray and Oakham, but far enough away for complete peace and quiet! Our local pub is superb, there is a farm shop and cafe just down the road. The space The space is completely unique. We tried to keep as many of the building's original features as we could, whilst making it as comfortable as possible for guests. All four bedrooms are cosy and easy. We've bought Emma mattresses for all our king size beds so that you get the best night sleep, have installed big showers and have included coffee, tea, kettles etc. (as well as TVs) in all four rooms. If you need a travel cot just ask. Each of the bedrooms has a king-size bed, meaning that a total of 8 adults can stay. There is the option of two small ‘put-me-up' beds if you need them for two children - meaning a total of 10 can be accommodated (8 adults max). The communal areas are all on the ground floor. There's a dining area with super high ceilings, a kitchen and a living room with TV. PLEASE NOTE, three bedrooms are upstairs and accessed via a spiral staircase. One bedroom (Bedroom 4) is located on the ground floor. Bedroom 4 is not accessed from inside the property, but has its own entrance. Please bear in mind when booking. Each bedroom has an ensuite shower room with toilet and basin. There is no separate bathrooms or toilets at the property. Outside you will find the fruit orchard, where you can sit and enjoy the views. There is comfortable seating out on the decking area, and just across the driveway is a 5-person hot tub. We do not allow same-sex groups and cannot accommodate stag or hen parties. Guest access Guests can access the entire barn and the orchard directly outside. There is free private parking right next to the barn for up to 3 cars. Other things to note We want all out guests to have a great time when they stay at the big barn. All we ask is that you are considerate of the space and look after the property, and if outside during the evening, please keep noise to an acceptable level.
