Wayside Welcome

My place is close to Hadrian's Way , long-distance footpath and route 72 Hadrian's cycleway. Regular bus service to town, convenient for castle, cathedral and museum, shops nearby, including supermarket. You’ll love my place because it is convenient and not expensive, secluded and peaceful , secure for bikes, comfortable bunk beds and plenty of space.. My place is good for couples, solo travellers, not really for families or pets. Useful if you just want a short stay or city break. The space There is a single and double bunk. I provide bedding and towels, and food for breakfast, (eg fruit, bread, muesli, yoghurt, biscuits) tea and coffee, milk in the fridge, but feel welcome to tell me what you would like me to get in. There is a fridge, microwave, kettle, and I have recently upgraded, installing plumbing to create a toilet, washbasin and electric shower! There is a fan and convector heater, but it is not suitable for the depths of winter, or for long-term stays. If it is fine you can sit out on the decking or in the garden. It is not really suitable for families with young children, or for pets. Guest access Summerhouse, shed, garden . Access through the garden, side gates, no need to go through house , independent. Parking by side of the road. Other things to note Hello, some people have been disappointed previously there is no running water in the summerhouse, so this has all changed, as from last Thursday, 3rd April! There is now a cold water supply, a toilet, washbasin and electric !shower. The easiest way I can find to describe it is basic glamping with many extra facilities, and breakfast, for less than the price of a youth hostel!
