The Brigadiers Cottage petfriendly in Mussoorie

We are actually a farm tucked away in a quiet wooded area with Cows, Geese, Turkeys, Hens, dogs and Bees etc. Most of the cooking vegetables & ingredients are grown here.. even our Jams, breads , pickles, eggs, milk , natural soaps .. We stay here.. though in a separate wing and both being from a Hotels background pretty much have All modern amenities, trained cooks & Housekeeping staff on site.We embarked on this for our love of the mountains and to Get out of The Rat race. we love the Farm !! The space The Cottage: The Brigadiers cottage is a Beautiful cottage recently renovated and restored to its original glory and is nestled in acres and acres of woods (yet within walking distance to the Main road near Kempty Fall) with beautifully landscaped lawns , barbeque areas, bonfire areas , the property even has a temple on the grounds. Our property is pet friendly and we hearty welcome them. The Brigadier's lounge: The Brigadiers cottage has a large lounge with heavy and relaxing furniture, a well-stocked library and a cosy fire place to sit around and enjoy indoor games like carom, chess, cards, and other board games or general gossip over a few drinks in the evening. The Rooms: Each of the 4 bedrooms is large and spacious with windows overlooking the valley, the woods and the small brook that flows in the valley below. The gurgle of the water flowing in the brook adds to the environment. While all the superior rooms are available. In case you want only 1 room please let me know. Amenities: •Organic Toiletries •Fresh linen and towels •LED TVs •Wifi connectivity •Tea coffee makers in all rooms •Hot water geysers in all rooms •Hot water bottles on request •Electric blankets on request subject to availability •Limited Power Back up •Secure environment Dining options: The cottage has a dining hall that exudes old world charm and comes with an open kitchen where you can ask the caretaker to arrange your meals, alternately meals can be had in the open on the terrace. Dinner can be arranged around a bar be que under a star lit night . Breakfast is served on the terrace during the summers and in the dining hall during the winters in case of heavy snowfall. Room service can be arranged for special cases but being your home in the mountains we would rather you came out of your rooms and spent time in nature. Our Philosophy: The Brigadiers cottage has now been thrown open so that we can share all that we have. Today's kids grow up in small stuffy concrete cages, where milk comes from a bag and eggs in a carbon polluted and poisoned air. We offer huge, open spaces with lawns, kitchen Gardens with chirping birds, barking deer, wild fowl and many other forms of wild life and healthy fresh air, pure milk, honey, butter. When you come to the Brigadiers Cottage, we would like to share with you what is clean, green and pristine, enjoy the fresh air, water, hikes, and most importantly. Enjoy the time you spend here with family. Things to do at the cottage - The caretaker can arrange the following for you on request: •Arrange a fire in the fire place for you to cosy around over a drink. •Arrange a bar be que at the terrace under the open skies …. You can stargaze, and hear only the sounds of nature and the river …. •Arrange a bon fire in the lawns •Walk down to the small river that flows under the cottage and spend good family time with a picnic basket. •Curl up with a nice book and a cup of nice tea •Spend the day in your hammock •Do absolutely nothing Guest access All areas are accessible to the guest Other things to note Tough times subscribe for tough measures. We at The Brigadiers Cottage have initiated the following steps to protect our guests & team from Covid-19 pandemic. 1. All staff on arrival and then every two hours are washing their hands with a disinfectant based soap solution. 2. Every guest on arrival is being offered to wash their hands to sanitise themselves. 3. We have instructed our laundry to ensure that they add some disinfectant based solution while washing the linen. 4. All mopping of floors is done by adding mild disinfectant to the water. 5. All wiping and dusting of furniture and fixtures ( including toilets ) is done by disinfectant dipped dusters. 6. All Vegetables & fruits brought to the cottage are being immersed in a salt based solution. 7. Strict adherence to a no handshake / hugging policy even among staff members. 8. Only freshly prepared food is being served. 9. Recommending our guests to avoid public transport and stick to personal cars & taxis. 10 . Being a homestay and not a hotel interaction with other guests is limited & not encouraged for now. It's our endeavor to ensure that you remain safe with us in your home in The Himalayas.
