The space Mami Wata House is a peaceful 3-bedroom retreat shaded by indigenous trees and surrounded by lush tropical gardens. Enjoy the private pool, multiple outdoor seating areas, free Wi-Fi, on-site parking, and 24/7 guarded security with an electric fence and night watchman. Each of the three spacious en-suite bedrooms is thoughtfully furnished and opens onto its own private outdoor lounge, offering a peaceful space to relax with stunning views. Room 1 – Ground Floor This spacious en-suite room, styled with timeless Lamu charm, features standing fans by each bed for cool, restful nights. Step onto your private veranda overlooking the tropical garden, where a ceiling fan above the outdoor lounge keeps the breeze flowing. Rooms 2 & 3 – Elevated Tranquility Situated among the Trees Perched upstairs, these two spacious en-suite bedrooms offer a peaceful, elevated view of the garden and surrounding canopy. Thoughtfully designed with both privacy and shared moments in mind, they feature two distinct outdoor lounge areas, ideal for couples, friends, or families travelling together. The first lounge rests in the shade of a majestic baobab tree at the top of the stairs, a serene, breezy landing perfect for reading, journaling, or quiet conversation. This space connects directly to Room 2 via a private bathroom door, offering a tucked-away veranda experience. The second lounge, positioned just outside Room 3, opens onto sweeping views of the garden below, a perfect spot for sunrise tea or sundowners as the light filters through the trees. While these verandas can be enjoyed as shared spaces, their layout allows each room to have its dedicated outdoor retreat. Each room is lockable and furnished with mosquito-netted beds, standing fans, and high-quality towels and linens, which are refreshed every three nights. Daily cleaning is included to ensure a relaxed and comfortable stay. Extras: Free drinking water provided. Traditional woven beach baskets are available for guests' use and are perfect for the beach or shopping. Our dogs live with us on a separate compound, however we do leave them on the compound when we go on holidays. If you are not dog lovers, or have dog allergies please inform us so we can move the dogs during your stay. Guest access Guests have full, unrestricted access to the property at any time, day or night, through the main gate. During your stay, you're welcome to enjoy all of the thoughtfully designed indoor and outdoor spaces, from private verandas and the pool to the outdoor lounges, created to offer comfort, privacy, and relaxation throughout your visit. Other things to note We care deeply about the environment and run the house with sustainability in mind. We separate recyclables, compost fruit and vegetable waste, and repurpose single-use packaging where possible. Guests are encouraged to join us in reducing waste by using the clearly labelled bins in the kitchen; every little bit helps!
