This refurbished 100 year old building offers luxurious eco friendly accommodation, nestled in the heart of the Mid North, South Australia. Greatly suited to couples, singles, business people and students for short or long term stays. The space This little old solid stone building has some major history. The building itself is over 100 years old and in it's past life was a service station, retail store and a bank just to name a few. Our family decided to bring this beautiful space back to life. The poor old building had seen better days and required a fair bit of repair work to the external and internal walls as well as a new lick of paint. The internal walls have had some very particular detail made to them, where the existing render has been cut out the natural building stone pointed and exposed to reveal it's beauty. Conveniently located, we are easy to find yet pleasantly private. Be one of the first to experience, a true diamond in the rough. Guest access Guests are able to access all spaces of the accommodation. Opposite Wongabirrie park with park lands, sports ground, playground, barbecue facilities, sculpture trail and new silo art attraction. Trails, bikes and walking close by. There are 4x4 tracks with local knowledge. Coffee shops and pubs close by (Port Germein, Melrose, Wirrabara, Stone Hut, Port Pirie). Close to Flinders Ranges and Port Germein Gorge. Other things to note There is a kitchenette inside the Wander in Wongabirrie with a mini fridge, sink, microwave, toaster, kettle, single induction cook top, dinnerware and utensils. There is also a barbecue provided on the porch for outdoor cooking. We highly recommend this as it makes it easier to clean up considering the accommodation space is limited. Supplied products, food, drinks and goodies are all chosen with our core ethical values in mind.
