The space Makai Lodge is a guesthouse for everyone who wants to flee from the cold wet european winter to relax in the warm and sunny Cape Town. Especially windsurfers, kitesurfers, surfer, individualists and sporty people will feel at home at Makai Lodge! With 5 double bedrooms, all with en-suit bathrooms and an appartment we are the ideal address for price-conscious travellers who prefer a cozy and friendly atmosphere to the anonymity of a hotel. Makai Lodge is situated in the calm and safe suburb Table View north-west of Cape Town. Five minutes from the lodge you will find the world famous windsurfing spots Sunset Beach and Big Bay which are great for long beach walks and taking a refreshing swim as well. Due to the location Makai Lodge offers all advantages of a metropolis without the hustle and bustle of a big city. The double rooms are located in the main house and every room has a big glassy sliding door to the garden or to the pool area. The guests of the main house will find a modern clean kitchen for self-suplying including micro wave and washing machine (subject to charges). Besides a working room with telephone and fax is offered to the guests, also a wireless internet connection is available that our guests can use for a small weekly fee. In the wide living room our guests will find a TV with VCR/DVD and a fireside. From the lounge and the living room sliding doors guide the way to the tropical pool and the sunbath area where sunbeds are available. At the barbeque area next to the pool you can end your day with a nice south african Braai (Barbeque) and a good bottle of wine. The fully equiped appartment has a seperate entrance, a living and dining area with an open kitchen, an own bathroom and a sleeping room with TV. Board storage is possible in the large double garage. The house can be reached from the airport by taxi within 30 minutes and the transport costs about 25 Euros. We live in another second apparment that is attached to the main house. So we are always there if you have questions, problems or want to organize trips. The price of 45 Euros is based on a double ensuite bedroom for 2 people.
