Gap Creek Cabin

The cabin is great for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers. It is unscreened. Light a fire and relax overlooking the river. Extra family members may roll a swag or tent free of charge. 4WD access only or park a 2WD and walk across the creek. The space If you love butterfly gardens, rainforest, tropical fruit, and a crystal creek then you are the perfect guest for Gap Creek Retreat. Located between Cape Tribulation and Cooktown at the northern end of the Bloomfield Track, our cabin is the perfect base from which to explore the World Heritage rainforest of 'Ceder Bay National Park', or to start or finish your Cape York adventure . Our rustic cabin in the garden provides plenty of of space to relax and take in nature. In particular, it is designed with the outside in mind, so the cabin is not screened and there is a mosquito net for the queen sized bed. The cabin has modern facilities including WiFi and everything else you'll need to be self contained. Please take note that access is via a 4WD creek crossing, alternatively you can park and we'll bring you over. Guest access Access to the creek for swimming is always available. We will take you on a walk around the orchid. Other things to note 4WD access only or park and walk across the creek if you have a 2WD.
