Pause is a brand new furnished family apartment with lots of light and a large terrace of 50 square meters on the newly developed harbor site on the East Bank. Only 150 meters from the beach where the best surf spot in Belgium is also located. An undeveloped coastline good for miles of walks in the dunes or on the dike. 2 bedrooms, 1 queen size bed and bedroom with 4 bunk beds with lots of privacy. Lots of storage space. Fully equipped kitchen, spacious seating area. Wifi and Smart TV! The space The founders of the design stores Rewind and Play in Antwerp completely furnished this brand new apartment for large families with up to 4 children with beautiful durable interior objects. Everything has been thought out to the last detail, ranging from the dishes, the furniture and art objects to the spacious sofa in which you are sitting. Nothing has been spared to make it as practical, comfortable and aesthetic as possible for an optimal vacation experience where you can completely relax. For example, the kitchen is pleasantly spacious, and the entire apartment has plenty of storage space. The entire living space is surrounded by windows high up to the ceiling that open onto the large wooden living terrace that overlooks the fishing port and the park and other buildings under construction at the rear. The bedrooms also feature sustainable, high-quality materials, and the entire interior of the bedrooms was custom-designed by the Antwerp architectural firm Komaan Architecten and executed by furniture maker Jasper Thienpont. If desired, you can sleep under organic cotton percale sheets and/or use luxurious bath towels in the bathroom. This is on request and at an additional cost (€19/person). The bathroom with large walk-in rain shower is not that spacious, but it is equipped with all comforts. PETS are not allowed. We like to see animals, but not in the vacation apartment. We will also withhold the deposit if we notice that animals were present. Guest access By car, you can drive into the underground garage. Parking is free. By train, you get off the platform and walk 150 m further to the ferry that takes you to the right bank of Ostend, and from there you can walk to the apartment. At the beginning of the Hendrik Baelskaai, you can take the coastal tram to De Panne or the other way to Knokke. Other things to note The neighborhood around the apartment is under development. So at the rear of our apartment you will see new buildings under construction for the next 2 years. You will be staying in a fascinating brand new site that is constantly evolving. During the week, you will have some noise from the works at most occasionally. On weekends and most holidays and public holidays, the works are stopped. As long as there are works around the apartment, the prices will be a bit lower as currently offered. The bunk beds are suitable for children. Adults can sleep here too. The beds are 200 cm long, but two beds are 75 cm wide and 2 are 85 cm wide. The bed cubicles, on the other hand, are nice and spacious, but in terms of lying comfort on the mattresses for tall men and women, they may be a bit tight in length and width. It is not a problem for families with a baby, but the apartment is not equipped with a bath. If you have something to celebrate, this can absolutely be done in a controlled manner. This is not a party apartment. We do not welcome minors without parental supervision. There are other people living in the building. We like to see them, and we want them to continue to like to see us.
