Characterful Hackney Garden Flat with resident Cat

Our spacious Stoke Newington garden maisonette is a great mix of comfort, character & period features with plenty of mod cons and a resident cat. Set out as a 1 bedroom with two reception rooms- a beautiful, light living room plus a dining room- there’s plenty of room for 2 people staying in the double bedroom only or one extra on the sofa. We’ve lived here here for just over 3 years and have been lovingly restoring it with a new kitchen, bathroom and garden so far. We love it-hope you will too! The space Welcome to our happy home! We have been lovingly restoring the flat over the past 3 years and are really proud of our work so far- the garden was landscaped last year and has a great patio area with a picnic bench, festoon lights and some plants plus a decent sized lawn area with seating in the sunniest corner. The garden is also the entrance to the flat which is private so you’ll have sole access. We’ve put a beautiful new kitchen in in the style of the original Victorian features downstairs and have been busily stripping floors and filling the rooms with our favourite pieces of furniture, which we ask you to look after as your own and hopefully enjoy as much as we do! Last year we refitted the bathroom which is on the lower ground floor and the loo which is on the ground floor. We also added some understairs cupboards for extra storage and the best bit...an understairs bar complete with baboon printed wallpaper. We think it’s much less ‘only fools and horses’ than it sounds but take a look at the pictures and decide for yourselves! There isn’t loads of other storage unfortunately but we’re happy to put a little clothes rail in the living room if you want somewhere to hang your clothes up whilst you’re staying. You’ll see from the pictures that where you enter the flat on the ground floor, we are lucky enough to have plenty of light in the double bedroom and big south facing living room as well as a spacious hallway with a WC. Downstairs in the lower ground floor, you’ll find the cosy dining room, bathroom and kitchen. In 2017 we also welcomed a little grey cat into our home. His name is Yoji and he would be here if you chose to stay in the flat so it’s only available to Cat friendly guests please. He’s super friendly once he gets to know you and is predominantly a house cat except the odd night time excursion to the garden. Any more questions please ask Thanks Bryony, Joe and Yoji Guest access We’ve installed a Sonos speaker system throughout the flat with 4 speakers you can control to play any music from your phone via the Sonos app and have a 55” TV with entertainment system in the lounge- you’re welcome to make the most of all of our film and TV packages there too and there’s even a Playstation for any keen gaming fans plus a good sized DVD collection to make the most of. Downstairs there’s a bookcase you’re welcome to borrow from whilst you’re staying too (but please return before you leave!).
