The Annex - self contained unit .

The Annex is on a small farmlet, 6 km south of Whangarei, with harbour views. It was a sleepout, built in the 1980's, separate, but next to the main house. It has two bedrooms. There is a double bed and two singles plus a day bed in the living area. The living/ dining area, has a wood fire. There is a small shower room and separate toilet. It is situated about 100 mtr off SH1, so there can be road noise. There are no streetlights and it can be very dark if you arrive after sundown. The space There is NOT a full kitchen - only a sink, fridge, hot plate, microwave, electric frypan, slow cooker, air fryer, kettle and toaster. Teas, coffees, soups, cereals, milk, fruit, bread, butter and condiments are included. The living area has a TV and DVD player with some DVD's. No Skye or Netflix. There are plenty of books to read. There is a double bed in one bedroom with electric blankets, twin beds in the second, also with electric blankets, and a day bed in the lounge. You are totally private, if that is your wish. The free WiFi code is in the Information booklet. You may use my washing machine and dryer for no charge. Guest access The whole Annex is yours and you are welcome to wander our farmlet. Information about it and places in Whangarei are in the information folder. We don't mind you having guests for the evening but not to stay over. Other things to note The farmlet is rural so you need to be careful where you walk as the ground is rough and drives are unsealed. We have electric fences, so please be careful with top wires and gates. Our hens free range and may need to be shooed away from your area. If our cat shows an inclination to visit, please discourage firmly, although this is unlikely as she is very timid. The wood fire heats the Annex quickly and there is plenty of firewood available. There is also a small fan heater in each of the bedrooms.
