It is easy to not leave the house due to its size, spaces, amenities and closeness to nature. However the sound of the sea will eventually draw you down the short, sheltered path - no roads to cross - to more than six kilometres of beach. Here you will find shady trees, the golden beach sand and the sparkling calm waters - perfect for lazing, splashing, swimming, paddling, fishing or long walks. A short walk away at the end of the street is the Toogoom Beach convenience store/burger, fish and chip takeaway (you can buy BBQ gas and bait here too), pharmacy, post office, hairdresser and Hervey Bay/ Burrum Heads bus stop. Salty’s and Goody’s On The Beach are a short drive (or a longer walk) away. Guest access Full property except two cleaning/storage cupboards Other things to note Park in the garage (2 cars), on the driveway (2 cars) and to the right of the driveway (1 car). Don’t park on the lawn. This is a residential area so please treat the neighbours with respect. Smoking outdoors only - away from neighbours, open windows & air conditioners. Evidence of smoke indoors will occur additional cleaning fees. No parties. No illegal activity. SOT Kayak & SU paddle board - must be used with lifejackets provided and at user’s own risk Take care removing and replacing kayak/SUP @ wall storage. (Only take out through main garage door) . Please rinse/wash before re-stacking on wall before checkout. 2 x boogie boards also available for use at user’s own risk. Fishing rods and reels are also provided - for safety, byo hooks. On departure (fee/feedback if not done) please - 1. Place all dirty cutlery/crockery in the dishwasher & turn on 2. Clean bbq (incl overflow) and oven if used (additional $30 cleaning fee otherwise) 3. Lock all external doors (not internal doors) and close all windows 4. Turn off air conditioning, internal lights and taps, and the outdoor shower 5. Let me know of any breakages or anything you think isn’t working 6. Lock the lockbox key in the lockbox or leave house keys as agreed House rules during your stay (in addition to the no’s above) 1. Bin day is Friday. Please place bin(s) kerbside on Thursday night 2. Noise - In accordance with Qld legislation & Fraser Coast Council bylaws for residential neighbourhoods. Please move conversations indoors or to the beach after 930/10pm 3. Don’t take/ leave food in bedrooms. 4. Don’t move the sofas, beds, dining table and major appliances. If you must move small furniture, then do it without damaging anything and return it to its original spot - see house photos if you forget. 5. Bring equipment back to the yard at the end of each day - don’t leave it on the beach. 6. Don’t park on the lawn.
