FOREST GARDENS GETAWAY is a small, peaceful Bed & Breakfast located on the edge of the Ottawa Nat'l Forest on the western side of the UP. We are very close to Bond Falls, Porcupine Mountain State park ,where you’ll find Lake of the Clouds, Summit Peak, and Presque Isle Falls. Drive a bit further to Black River Harbor where you can hike to 5 different magnificent waterfalls. Or stay close and hike into the Sylvania Wilderness Area. We are surrounded by nature everywhere! The space This large suite is located on the lower level and has 2 bedrooms and a bath. It can sleep 4 comfortably. One room has a queen size bed and the other has 2 twins. The suite has a living/gathering area with a couch, love seat, and large screen TV, a wet bar with Kuerig, microwave, and small refrigerator, 2 bar tables and chairs for working or game playing, and a 9' regulation pool table. There's a 3-season private entrance for the suite. Not suitable for young children! No smoking on premises. Guest access Forest Gardens Getaway sits on 22 acres surrounded by the Ottawa National Forest. We have walking trails all around the property for your use. During the summer months, you’re welcome to use our kayaks, canoe, and paddle board. All of our guests are encouraged to relax in our living room. There’s always a fire in the fireplace on the cold, snowy evenings. In the summer, enjoy the large screened-in octagon porch or sit out on the deck. Both overlook Twist Lake with all of the different species of waterfowl. There are three beaver houses on the lake so you’ll see them busy at work! The otters often play in the lake and it’s not at all uncommon to see all kinds of wildlife like fox, deer, bear, etc. It’s a nature-lover’s paradise! During your stay We’ve been operating for almost 8 years and always love visiting with our guests. At the same time we completely respect your privacy.
