Guest access Access to the garage and some parts of the house will remain private, but the necessities for a comfortable holiday will remain accessible :) Other things to note If it's your first time in Bordeaux, here are some things to do while you're in town: ■The Great Basilica of St Michel and its spire which houses a large Bell located just in front of the entrance of the church After the visit and depending on the time, you can have breakfast, a drink or a meal in the square If you feel like it, you can go to the Capuchin market, open Tuesday to Sunday from 5am to 2pm, to buy fresh fruit and vegetables, as well as seafood and cold cuts. (You'll also find exotic grocery shops and butchers) In short! Enough to make some good food when you get home. ■Place de la bourse (Formerly Place Royale): You'll see its famous water mirror and fountain of clear water or coloured Bordeaux red for the love of Wine. If you are hungry, I suggest the nice restaurants located in the rue St Remi, ■Le Quinconce: Here you will see the Grand Théâtre de Bordeaux overlooking 12 Greek deities, wine shops and the Christmas market during the winter season Sainte Catherine Street: considered the longest shopping street in Europe: You will be spoilt for choice when it comes to shopping . ■Place de la Victoire, famous for its entertainment, bars, the big gate and the 2 famous bronze turtles ■I also suggest Bordeaux by night on the quayside where there is also entertainment at weekends and when the weather is good. ■Office du tourisme at les Quinconces : You will also find the new activities of the moment to do in the other cities close to Bordeaux such as visits to castles and vineyards (St Emilion-Châteaux du Médoc-Citadelle de Blaye...) ■ One last suggestion for the curious and wine lovers: Think of visiting the Cité du Vin. You will find the wine museum built in an atypical shape, which looks like a gigantic carafe. In addition to the visit, you will be able to taste the wines. ■ If you have time I also suggest the Bassin des Lumières (more easily accessible by car) ■ And finally, if the weather is good, I suggest the town of Arcachon for a walk or a swim on its beach as well as the Dune du Pilat for its sandy mountain whose view is worth the diversions, once you reach the top (I advise you to go there by car for more flexibility in terms of time. The journey is also possible by train) In the meantime, we look forward to welcoming you :)
