La Magnanerie cottage in Southern Ardèche

Charming comfortable cottage in a secluded property surrounded by nature with pool. In a preserved environment, come and rest, reconnect with nature or live the unique experience of an atypical meeting with horses in herds. The space At Mas de Fournery, at the end of the courtyard, at the back of the long covered terrace that extends the oven to which the farmhouse owes its name, two steps go down to a charming private terrace. It is protected on two sides by a stone wall and a virgin vine, shade deliciously all summer long. A door separates it from the common garden and the communal pool (10m x 5m). Three steps down, the welcoming round door of the old magnanerie (silkworm farming) opens onto a comfortable living room with thick stone walls, naturally air-conditioned: away from summer excesses, as well as frimas. Beautiful white kitchen extends it. An indoor staircase goes up to the bathroom, separate toilet, and a large bedroom connected to the courtyard by a flight of steps. Guest access Guests will have 24-hour access to the large common room (70 m2) and its covered terrace overlooking the pool. In the room they can read and borrow guides and tourist maps on the region. Other things to note For horse lovers: another approach to equines, based on understanding, trust, and respect. At the entrance of the Fournery and Baraud Estate (40 hectares), you will have the opportunity to meet our Icelandic horses and foals. You can rent our little Shetland or a small Icelandic horse to walk your children or sign up for our workshops on "Discovery and observation of a herd of horses in semi-liberity and sensitive horse approach based on trust and communication." (ethical approach, behavioral horseback riding). During these workshops, we will also introduce you to the specificities of the Icelandic breed. Handover - pony rental: €9.00/half hour ǐ €15.00/hour. Ethology discovery courses: 30€/half-day The owner riders can also pension their horses in the box, stall, paddock or meadow. Water point and/or hay and barley in addition, shower area, sellery, playground and hiking trails from the cottage.
