La Caravana welcomes all the outdoor lovers with a true glamping experience! Come and connect with the sounds of nature. You only need to pack a few items and enjoy the calm and tranquility of the foothills. We always enjoyed camping and being in touch with nature but missed some amenities, comfort and privacy... until we learned about GLAMping! Then we fell in love with this vintage 1970 Nomad travel camper - we were also born in the 70s :) The space La Caravana is a cozy, comfortable travel camper, about 16’ long with AC, fans and Heater. It was completely renovated inside and out. It’s parked at our small ranch, behind our fenced main structures, overlooking the seasonal pond (usually full by January and dried by end of summer) and beautiful oak trees. It’s close to the veggie garden, chicken coop and the goat barn/corral where the chickens also free range. Guests are welcome to get veggies and eggs when available. Inside there is a small bathroom with flushing toilet and shower, comfy full size bed, a kitchen with double sink (and the only sink in the trailer), 1970 original stove, mini fridge, microwave, basic tools/ingredients for cooking and portable fans. There is a closet, space under the bed for a couple small suitcases and a bench that can serve as sitting or extra storage space. Just outside La Caravana, we created a few areas to be enjoyed outdoors - which is the main purpose of glamping here :) There is a dining area with a propane grill, a lounge, fire pit and hammocks. Everything is facing west(ish) so the sunsets behind the trees are beautiful! We are animal lovers! Your pet is welcome and will enjoy the spaces we have here! We charge a one time flat fee of $25 per pet. We can only take up to 2 pets (up to 65 lb combined). ** Pls read the HOUSE RULES/PET RULES BEFORE BOOKING for detailed information ** Guest access There is a couple minutes walk from the guest parking until La Caravana through uneven ground that include some stairs and luggage will need to be carried. We have a wagon cart available at the parking area that guests can use to bring luggage closer to the camper. Guests and pets are welcome to walk around the backyard and seasonal pond area. We hope you will stop by the goat barn/pen and feed them the provided treats (they love our guests). The chicken coop is in the backyard and they free range just outside the goat pen. In that specific area, we ask guests to keep pets on leash to avoid spooking chickens and goats. Other things to note This is a rural property, in town, but tucked away at the end of gravel road. It’s a bit uneven at some areas and there are no street lights so please drive slow. This is similar to a CAMPING experience, with your own private space and several amenities, thats why we called GLAMPING (glamour + camping). There are other living quarters on the property besides La Caravana: The main house is located at the front of the property where my husband and I live. The cottage, just behind the main house is where my mother lives part time. Finally, our other Airbnb listing Casa Verde is above the barn-shaped structure in front. The only shared spaces are the main house backyard, goat barn area and some areas across from La Caravana/seasonal pond.
